Have we had this hopeless case yet?

"In need of renovation with 95% parts available with car"

Where's the other 5% - like the rear wheels - they may be vital?

"will need to be trailed away"

O rly? I was hoping to drive it away today.

Are you going for it Ian? At £299 start, £300 BIN, I guess it won't be about for long.

I've got my eye on it too, but I'm currently negotiating on SWAPZ.co.uk with the owner of a minty-fresh 216 about a deal for the BX.

This dizzler has the advantage of beige innards, and 218 number plate. Not so keen on the earth tones around the arches though.

Probably not. I'm a bit scared about having two very different cars with entirely the same engine. What if I preferred the Rover?!

/\ Fugging hell!

Even though it's in Devon and not particularly cheap, that's made it onto my watch list.

Posted

Holy hell that is a cool Horizon, although the mention of it not having the best anti rust protection because it was built in Spain is a concern and make you wonder what brine-based rust-proofing system they must have used to be WORSE than other Talbot Horizons?

Posted

Blimey. I'll be one motorway junction away from that Horizon at the weekend. Wonder if my wife fancies driving either that or the 2CV back home...

I'll be in Collumpton probably on Wednesday of next week, I may be able to have a shufty over it if anyone so desires.

Here's quite a tidy old bus, wasn't someone (on here) on about these saloon models with the 'tailblazer' thing between the rear lights recently?

Not a fan of the chrome grille on these models or that wood look shit, but it's not half tidy with unusually good bumpers, though I think the Mk1s fared better than the Mk2 in that department.

*Soz for the picture swamping, but everyone* knows the S1 XJ6 is the best one to have, even with a smokey old piston holing 2.8 boat anchor.

'HAVE I WASHED THE CAR THE ANSWER IS NO ALL IV DONE IS THROW SOME WATER OVER IT AND LEATHERD IT OFF'

Well done. I stood under the hot running shower this morning, tipped shampoo on my head then towelled myself off afterwards. BUT I DID NOT HAVE A WASH.

I wanted to buy this but the seller has decided to let the auction run and I now think it will go beyond my budget...

However if you have deeper pockets than me you can buy this and win autoshte in its purest form: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123

The listing is very poor but I've spoken to the seller its actually a experimental Lamm Electric car and was the creation of a London university lecturer in 1974. He used an unregistered rebel bought directly from Reliant as a starting point. It is actually registered as a Lamm ( you wont find it on the dvla database as a Reliant.) The drivetrain appears to be a 72v electric motor of a type commonly used in forklifts and milkfoats. Supposedly it should be MOT and Tax exempt too. I suppose it could be thought of as some kind of bastard cousin to an Enfield Electric... With added obscurity.

I'd love to see it put on the road in line with the creators origonal aims retaining as much of the original kit as you can,

Hey Alexg, your Corolla looks pretty bloody nice mate.

.... is it not a 4potta >> 3 Valves per?

tooSavvy

Same as my Granddad's one, bar the stickers. Pretty sure it would have come from the same dealer, which at the time was about 2 minutes from my house.........
