983 Mk1 Sierra 1.6 Pinto Manual

£1,500

I recently bought this on a bit of spontaneous spree, id wanted a mk1 sierra for a while, see one so bought it, reality is 5 classic fords most of in project state is not doing me any favours so im selling a few to fund other things!

This here is a real nice original, un molested example of the mk1 sierra, a very early one on an "A" reg, registered 1983,
Its a GL, standard stereo even in place and working!
Last mot'd 2012, last taxed 2005! Currently waiting for the v5 back annoyingly so unsure on keepers!
1.6 pinto on a 4 speed type 9, this week ill be doing a massive service as below so will be all fresh! Starts and runs sweet as nut as is already! Around 95k on clock i believe
New timing belt, water pump, aux belt, plugs, rocker gasket, oil, oil filer, air filter, clearances checked
All 4 original hubcaps present, for me they really make the car!
Car drives fine also!

Bad points, its gonna have them!
Rear arches are a little rough and soft, would say definitely need a little work but is the only issue on the whole car!
Bonnet is distorted, potentially been jumped on its life id say!
Exhaust is blowing, will check where and hopefully rectify when service is done
Handbrakes sticks on a little, again will be addressing this tho

I point the bad out even tho corrected as anyone interested that may wish to view before sorted is then aware!
I plan on selling the car in the state of where the only "issue" to get it mot'd is the rear arches!

Located near hatfield, delivery is possible for a cost
Any questions please ask!

Another one of those £650 bikes made several hundred quid worse and up for £2,850. Checking out the work he's done, unless I'm mistaken the bloody back tyre is on the wrong way round, too.

...built by some Sideburn-reading beard from Shoreditch, no doubt. What a waste of a perfectly good CG.

Anyone near Cardiff fancy saving this?  I am actually heading that way on Friday, his deadline before it's scrapped, but with my van so can't collect it and it sounds like it might be quite rotten.  I do feel quite sorry for it and it's a rare thing, plus it has the brownest interior ever.

No idea how overdrive works or how big a problem it is to fix either!

I just had a heart attack. It was rather lethal, so I'm afraid one of you ugly lot has to buy this.

Besides, I have too many cars, too little money, it's too far away, it's in Essex, I already have an estate and a car with a big bloody Ford V8,

I must be sensible, it has dead cows inside, it needs too much petrol, it's in a high tax band, it's made after 1986, I don't like 75s...

WANT LEVEL RED!

Oh, and entirely btw, I won this thread for today.

I might be "doing a Hendry" over the local (to me) registration identifier.

I may have already bid on that V8 75 Tourer despite having no idea how I'd pay for it.

If you do win it, I would be able to give a lift to it from Braintree station, even though it is 45 minutes from me.

(This offer comes with the condition that I get to be a passenger during the test drive)

I am tempted by this but the logistics would be a bit tricky. At a push I could get to Cardiff by the sellers deadline but would prefer to collect it Friday 8th of September. Assuming I won would a Shiter be able to collect it for me and then I could tax it online using the new keepers slip and insure it etc, then if it could be left somewhere on the streets of Cardiff I could get the train down on the 8th and pick it up.

This would involve someone filling out the V5 with my details. Would that constitute fraud or something? I notice you have to sign the V5 when buying a car but the DVLA are hardly going to verify someones signature are they?

Get the seller to do the transfer of ownership online if it bothers you.  Although no, the DVLA do not check signatures on V5s.

Here's a Talbot recovery truck which has had a bit of a biff on the snout.  Still would though.  Especially as it has 3 axles. 8)
