Is that a way of saying the engineering is superb just a shame the design is god awful (in my eyes, other opinions exist but obviously aren't important*)

Not particularly cheap, but not particularly dog-eared either:

But, it's the best engineered special I'm ever likely to see. (I have just poked my eyes out with a fork)

Rarely has the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" been so apt.

Cojones del Perro!

I never thought I'd see that phrase on here!

Stop it y'all.

I'd be in so much shit if I bought it. The next thing is I'd be looking for an EGGlike red Mondeo bASe and only seeing my kids at the weekend whilst their "new Dad" waits outside in his FFRR.

How's about an."incredibly rare.....6 on the road ect ect" mk3 Escort Laser ???

These are so massively unfashionable I'm starting to want one.

I've just looked at that.  Very tempting price!  Except: no towbar, wrong gearbox, and WTF wheels?  Otherwise, I agree with you, they are looking like a right barg in general.  I'd definitely have another.

There's been a spate of pre-Lotus cars coming out of the woodwork recently. I think that belonged to the bloke who had 8 Piazzas in varying states of repair. A Holden Piazza appeared for sale a couple of weeks back; god knows when that was imported (and its custodian kept bloody quiet about it in the interim).

The Owners' Club still doesn't know where some of the 1662 Piazzas brought in lurk. 3 were lost in that Oxford fire (along with several Dolly Sprints) last year so eBay finds like these are always cause for celebration as far as the IPTOC is concerned.

It's very rare you'll hear me endorsing a club but if anyone on here wants a Piazza, the Owners' Club (www.iptoc.com) is very good. It has far more new and second hand parts available than you might think. Provided the car hasn't gone too far to save bodily, you've got a strong chance of keeping it on the road.
