Looks like my expert* adjustment of the bonnet stops to make the bonnet sit level has been undone / fallen apart.  Unfortunately that makes it fairly obvious that it's had a biff on the snout, which is going to put a lot of people off.

 

Edit:  that roof is looking rough too - wasn't anywhere near that bad when I had it.

When this was up before the seller was at pains to explain how he'd sunk thousands into developing the Bootkamper and had been planning to sell the conversions. I imagine the derision that followed has resulted in the new, slimmed down version.

 

Shame really as the "thermal curtains" held in with pound-shop string and self - not - adhesive led strips are really selling it to me.

'Dad's giant Flask'

 

'I'll never forget the 'olidays we 'ad, every year on a beach we would bask

so every spring we'd pester dear mum, 'where are we going?' we'd ask

Well, 1976 was a vintage year an' we took my ol' lady to task

coz when we asked where was 'eading in June, she said in dad's giant flask!

Well, we're so full of excitement, we just couldn't sleep so to bed we didn't depart

Dad played about with the Allegro all night, but come morning the **** didn't start

so 'e tried 'is best with 'is chrome socket set and swore 'til mum sent us to bed

so with the vacation over before it began, we 'olidayed on the drive instead!

My old man tried his best to keep us all 'appy, an' 'ad to sweeten dear mum up, 'e knew

so in the main room of dad's flask he installed a disco and a bench from a brothel, too

In the bins near the top of this Kath Kidson horror were drinks of all manner and strength

and when us pesky kids 'ad fallen to sleep, 'ed slip dear old mum a length

The very next morning there was an awful commotion, blue flashin' lights 'an all!

seems dad 'ad forgotten we 'adnt gone away and were parked facing next doors wall

'ed woke up in a haze, wiped his knob on 'is sock, and went to the bog for a piss

exposed himself to Mr Khan's kids and now he's on the sex offender's list

Oh, pops, we 'ad a great time later and promise to bring,

pictures of our foreign holiday to the nonces wing

an' if your three year absence should make anyone ask

we'll say your away in dad's giant flask

How the heck do you manage spend "thousands" making that? They must have either bought the car years ago, or got totally robbed somewhere.

The early 145's did have the Boxer engine and were roundly criticised for it when they were launched as it dated back to the 1970's.  Nothing wrong with that I say!
