My Allegro resurfaces:

s-l1600.jpg

Everything works as it should with the exception of the radio

...that you installed!

and one of the front fog lights do not work

The loose connection got loose again.

£2,650.00

That's what I'd have asked if I'd gone through with my plan of fixing the paint issues.

'Car is TAX EXEMPT COME 20TH JAN 2017'

Is that even true?

Not yet. The current exemption requires a build date before 1 Jan 1976. That will probably be changed to 1 Jan 1977 in about April this year. I assume from the ad that this car was registered in Jan 77, which means that it was probably built in 1976. If the owner got a heritage certificate to show build date pre 77, the car could could go tax free later this year. Otherwise, wait until next year.

Barried pile of wank. Halfords cheapy turbo badge, those skirts / body kit / whatever the fuck it is, cheap multifit alloys, superfluous vents on the rear quarters. Also, why 2 separate exhausts on a 4-cylinder engine with but one turbocharger fitted? Barry barry barry.

All that plus the lovely (but very heavy) leather interior suggest it was never a bloody racing car. Ever.

Verdict = shit not shite.

Good luck with it though, he seems to have stripped it of anything worthwhile which he then wants extra to buy back off him.

I wrote a fictional account of the life of that 800 Hearse /  Pickup after I saw it in Milton Keynes.

It's Here. Its owner later found the story and left a comment.

Said story was later intercepted by a Pistonheads reader here, where it was described by another as a "pile of steaming guff".

I thought that was a ringing endorsement if ever there was one.
