I do like the rarity of these, Quattro too.  It'd be nice to think it would be restored rather than stripped for parts.

Why do people insist on building camper vans on vehicles that are already hopelessly slow in standard form?

Er, no.

 

It's an early car, which is nice, but the wheels are horrible and of a weirdly high offset, so there's more money there to get OEM alloys/tyres (they're handed and use directional tyres, just to be helpful).

 

Looks nice enough but I'd need to see the service history and have some confirmation the 'box had had regular flushes/filters/wasn't about to poo itself.

 

Ask me how I know. Ask me how I trusted the word of a lying snake seller because he was an enthusiast.

Because it was very cheap and he said the box had been done (and provided service info).

And the box shifted fine on test. And I drove it hard on test and the box didn't misbehave.

 

It'll get sorted. He's an arsehole, but I'll get it sorted.

If you're going to get all sanctimonious-judgemental on me (I know that's a forum speciality) then save it. Life's too short and we've all bought cars with issues.
