That Mk1 BX sold for £11 last time around. I guess the winning bidder realised that it's so far away from civilisation that the area hasn't even been mapped yet and bottled. shame, because I would probably have the seats out of it

I like this, with all its faults -

Not sure how it's flying through MOTs with no advisories without amber rear indicators though.

My Mercury does too. It's still got it's original all red rear lights but when converted they use amber high intensity LED 'bulbs' in them so it looks standard but still emits the correct UK legal amber light.

Oh, and you should buy that! It's lovely.

unsafe at any speed?

tested and legal corvair monza, if shabby sounding and needing work, anyone fancy a rolling resto?

Scruffy or patinated? Looks more solid than other recent ebay Corvairs.

Used over here for a few years makes it a much better bet than one of those "just imported" cars which are mysteriously unwanted as soon as they arrive in GB.

Such a nice shape! Really tempting, even with a leaky two speed 'box.

In Totnes too.

I think it is a bit over priced mind, but there again I didn't buy the convertible one for a grand that then went on to sell for nearly 4. It was a piece of shit mind. Matey does mention that this one has a bit of filler in it. Knowing the yanks it's probably all that holds it together, that and expanding foam. There is a good thread on the Corvair forum from a guy in the UK who bought what he thought was a nice one from the states. He found some interesting bodges which really puts me off them now.

Ok, they aren't as pretty as the 406 coupe, but not much is

forgive me for being ignorant, but what car are we talking here, surely not a peugeot ???

America has been raided of old cars over the past 30 years. There are more of them in Scandinavia today than there are left in the States.

So fresh imports from USA being unwanted upon arrival might slightly have to do with the fact, that all that's left over there is complete incomplete rubbish.

The ebay offerer of this Metro based beauty says it was built by MG for a cash strapped council. I hope proper aficionados will fill in my lack of knowledge of this thoroughbred with a few more details.

Yeah, there's nothing like commissioning a fully bespoke design to save a few quid. To be fair though, the detailing is excellent*

An interesting car, but I don't think it's a pukka Turbo. It was for sale back in 2010 as a 2.0 GL, and Cartell/DVLA still concur on that. I presume someone's fitted running gear from the more common later model.

 and some fucking gash wheels

Whats the deal with these? Are they any good? Why are they so cheap?

Tempted by this if it bidding doesn't stray much over the starting price.

I had a diesel great car until the transmisson shat itself big time, but that was rare apparently. Would again, and at that price for a petrol you cant complain.
