"The good points: MOT'd until the end of January 2017, recent cambelt, front discs and pads, exhaust, cunifer pipe replacement from rear height corrector to front of the car, 71bhp BOSCH fuel pump.

The not so good... rear arms bearing need replacing, front electric windows don't work, interior is dirty, drivers seat material is worn, although the sponge padding is still intact, the lacquer is peeling and the paint work needs a good T-cut and polish."

Every fricking mk2 escort in the world must be back in Blighty by now. Did Halewood export them in the first place?

Unlikely when there were German and Dutch plants knocking them out in volume

e.g. all Ghias were built at Saarlouis

Cavcraft's fascinating* fact of the day: The garage in the background is/was a Citroen specialists near Oswestry, they were a great bunch of lads.

Thought of the day: every advert that says 'cool' in the title usually means the polar opposite. For example...

Looks to me like there may be an inordinate amount of Isopon in this, but what a dandy looking motor vehicle...

No interior pictures, but if there isn't a massive cupboard full of out of date nodders I'd be really disappointed.

A £4 non-Cosworth 190E? I'd like to see that.
