You may mock , but just such a plastic spade earned me £200 a couple of years ago.

Massive fall of snow (3 inches) over Home Counties causes chao, a mate had a small recovery firm and subbed a bit of work off AA/RAC. He called me and said, do you fancy dragging a car out of the snow in Tring with your Disco? Apparently it was a "4x4 Specialist Recovery" and there was a vulnerable old person at risk of hypothermia in the car. The AA offered him £300 as they couldn't get there for 6 hours or summat.

Off I toddled to Tring, on arrival at a church car park ,there was a Punto at the bottom of a slight slope, the ' vulnerable' pensioner in the Vicarage drinking tea, all I needed to do was clear I bit of snow from the dug in wheels and drive it out- the only thing in the car was a plastic seaside bucket and spade, oh, and a crab fishing line- didn't need that for this job though. The Vicar came out and asked about the obviously child's spade, so I told him it was special tool used so as not to damage block paved surfaces!

No, it's not a Galaxy. It's a Galaxie.

Who can read, has a clear advantage:

Now you are not the only one who stands corrected.

I wish they had also come as Seat  and  VW versions, with the '59 VW engine........................

^^^ Oddly giving me teh Horn that Kangaroo.

Funny how every car offered with a snapped belt was being "driven below 30MPH" never being ragged down the M56....

How much? (£3300)

surely there are more than 3 Maxi 2 1750 HL's left?

nice though.....

Just clicked like instead of quote. Sorry!

Anyway. How is it worth that much? It has bland styling, bland mechanicals and was put together by people who seemingly had never experienced a proper car. I know that should make it perfect fodder for autoshite. But I fail to see the attraction. At that price I'd have a v12 jag.
