I'm trying to cut down on Mondeo posts on this thread...

But...I like the look of this Verona - has all the normal issues - heating broken, probably needs lower suspension arms, bumper cracks, outer sills beginning to go. Needs tyres. But looks a genuine clean giffer car. No MOT.

Seats are 90s perfection.

My mother had one of these, F600AKH, it was a great car, independent rear suspension too if I remember correctly, went well for a 1300.

Nah, it needs bridging, they are still not desirable or rare enough.

Fantastic sledgehammer/nut 'oil tanker'

So that's about 357 tonnes of metal to drag 6 litres of oil around. I have to say this would be right up there if I won the lottery.

I'd have it if I had a big field to park it in.

I love the fact he's highlighted it's got some tyres that sound like an African disease as a selling point.

A little tip that I found with eBay and gumtree.

Often on eBay especially, the pictures are fairly low res - even when zoomed in. However if you change the URL, you can get the original size.

E.g.

http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/36kAAOSwKtlWi8SL/$_57.JPG
The $_57 bit signifies the size. For no apparently reason, $_57 appears to be native size

Where as, make it $_11, you get:

$_11.JPG

Useful sometimes if you see in auction images that are small. Copy the image address out, fiddle with that end bit and then load it up.

$_86 seems to be the common maximum default size on gumtree. Sometimes you can get hire res images than what is shown by doing this on there too.

Gumtree uses the same style image links because its owned by eBay and I suspect uses a very similar backend.
