I bought one of these in 1984, it was red with a Starsky and Hutch stripe and Cosmic Slot mags, oh and it had a massive dent in the front. My brother drove it around for a couple of months until he got pulled and got a producer. It wasn't taxed or MOT'd and he was driving it on the 'other cars' bit of his 1100 mk1 Escort insurance.

The Jammy Get, turned up with his licence at the local nick, the Desk Sergeant ( remember those?) called the Traffic Copper to come and talk to him. He in turn just said " if I see it again ,you'll get nicked, scrap it!" And tore up the 7 day wonder.

We sold it to a banger racer that same day.

Oh, and that Trevi that's been for sale since Methuselah was in junior school has now come down to £1850 'for a limited time only'.  Getting dangerously close to a fair price.

 

Have a picture of THAT dashboard, to make a change from the usual driveway shot from 4 or 5 years ago.

Nicest one of those I've seen since about 1991.  Not sure the Inca wheels suit it though - lovely as they are on a 900, I'd chop them in for steels and those polished trimz that these are supposed to have.

I looked at that 9000 a couple of years ago and it had a lot of rear wing rot in it then. The current dealer who has it bought it from a Gumtree advert for less than £400.00.

That Escort, £12,000 for a more door Bader ? I can't see who would pay this , the Turbosport/ OSF Racists/ Rallypervs/Irish etc. would only spend that sort of money on a 2 door.

The only possible reason for having a 4 door is because it's cheap.
