£500 with OMGHGF and no MOT. Worth it?

 

Gumtree ad states that the "cylinder head has gone". I wonder if it's actually the head and he's hoping to move it on to someone assuming it's HGF who will get a bit of a surprise, or whether he's just being a bit economical on the typing.

 

Either way, they don't make a massive load more than that fully working.

What exactly did the voice computer do in the Maestro? Was it fully comprehensive like the old Renaults - everything from faulty lights to terminal overheating - or was it just a seatbelt reminder?

If it's anything like the one my Dad had, the voice is "REAR DOOR OPEN" and "FUEL LOW". Endlessly!

+1, although the "£30 to fill up" thing does get quite irritating when you realise that the tank really is that small.

Low miles 250,000 but looks spotless and apparently has all the Executive trim toys still working, plus best part of a year's MOT. No word of the common coin-stuck-down-handbrake problem either.

Looks a nice motor indeed. He's also got a Calibra so could be considered more Cavmad than our very own Cavette - who frankly seems more Corsamad of late.

It's a fucking auxiliary drive belt or alternator belt, it doesn't have a belt driven fun.
