Shame about that Vauxhall, especially when the bloke put so much time and effort into it. :(

The Royale I mean, not the Astra!

That is shit. Problem is, if no one else stumps up the money that's what will happen to it....

It's all well and good when people say "I'd have it if it was close/I had the funds" etc, but that doesn't help one iota in selling a car (and yes, I fully include myself in making such statements). If someone rung today and wanted to by the Bluebird for banger racing I'd say no, but the longer it goes on the more likely I am to say yes.....

2-dr Cortina Ghia Auto, 400€...... BARG

How hard to get that back from Le Francais paperwork wise? Any experience? Or take a trailer over?

Sam, a bit , well, excited.

Paperwork is a piece of cake and i'll cheerfully do all 'seller liaison' if you want. PM me if you're serious.

You got mail ! :-D

Trying to buy one can be difficult as well. Not sure if linking from here is OK but if so check out Joel's quest for Jeep here:

The owner of this has had some rotten luck but he didn't do himself any favours buying a automatic C5 though, he pays £3600 for it them a month later the HG fails.

I am a retired gentleman who suffers with Parkinsons Disease, My garage are not able to do it and I cannot afford it myself.. SO IT MUST BE SOLD FOR SCRAP

He wants £2k for it

Think I'm out, tops I'd pay is £750 for something that minging and that would cost a monkey to deliver

The bidding gets to £300 every time he lists it, that will be a scrap dealer knowing it will weigh in at £550+ and then have a few quid of brass out of the axles

Sad that he's potentially pricing any genuine interest in it right out of the window. Have you told him what it's worth to you and what your plans would be for it? It may be worth dropping him a mail explaining you plan to restore it, are offering over scrap money and that your costs to just get it to you go over your budget but you're prepared to do so as you want to save it.

You don't see any of those light blue Invacars at televised football matches anymore.Used to see them every Saturday on World of Sport then when it all went Match of the day I think the BBC must have banned them or something.Imagine getting this legal then rocking up at your local football stadium and demanding to park by the corner flag to shout abuse at the ref.

I don't particularly want to buy this van (a non-turbo 1905cc Boxer van must be one of the slowest forms of transport known to man), but the photos do make a nice change from the usual out-of-focus shots of a van wedged into the corner of a yard between a wheelie bin and a pile of assorted scrap.

'I cant say how great this car was as a first car'

I can't say how utterly awful this would be as a 127th car. But entering this conundrum into Cavcraft's random generator reveals.....

'a massive amount of man hours thinking about and creating this ONE OF A KIND conversion'

I think you should spend a massive amount of man hours sat in A&E as there appears to be a TIDAL WAVE OF EXCREMENT eminating from your cake hole.

Here's my computer's view of it:

Re: That Mini Hot Dog Van.

I think the listing is a scam, because this recently sold for £10,800, with a mighty high reserve, and this joker has zero feedback, no ebay history (joined yesterday!), no description and is using the original listings pics.
