Ha, that's one of my old college buses. The whole bloody fleet was knackered, I remember us having to stop one time because the wipers packed up so we had to switch buses!

So it'll be in a McEwens livery in no time then!

Quite impressive how with a lot of work a plain car was made jaw droppingly  ugly!

That's a proper Vauxhall Calibre body kit on that Cavalier convertible by the looks of it. Not that they ever fitted it to that car.

I'm planning a one-way flight to Italy next year, spending a few days there and then buying some prime Italian budget motoring for a pan-European road trip home, then selling it on afterwards.  Plenty of time to work out what I want - an Alfa 33 diesel is favourite at the moment, or maybe a cheap Barchetta - but these are also quality options.

Couple of pleasantly shabby Uno's available too.

I don't think you can buy a car in Italy unless you are a resident. I looked into it when I lived there a few years back. Lots of red tape.

Really?  That's a pain.  Admittedly it's a very loose plan for next year which I've yet to do any research into at all but that would be a bit of a bummer.

Hmm...http://www.understandingitaly.com/living-content/motoring.html- yep, can't be done.  Oh well, assuming it's do-able elsewhere I will just have to cross the border by train or something and pick one up in a neighbouring country, Austria, France or even Switzerland perhaps.  I know France would be fine.

calling mr dw - body and spaceframe in need of running gear!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-Mehari-project-2CV-Not-complete-Please-read-listing-/301597188595?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item463897e1f3

Here we have a complete kit to build a Mehari from a 2CV chassis

NOT THE WHOLE CAR LIKE THE FIRST PICTURE. The first picture was taken so you can see how the car looked just before all the panels and space frame were removed.

This is for the tubular space frame and all the body panels to make the car if you already have a Chassis.

The space frame will need some light attention. I have plenty of pictures if you mail me I can send them on. The body panels are complete but are over 40 years old and will need some attention in terms of some plastic welding and also the yellow paint is very uneven and will need sanding off and repainting if you want it to look like new.

The rear tailgate is carbon fibre wrapped, the plastic panel is inside. The lights and steering column have also been removed.

Please feel free to ask any questions or arrange viewing before the auction ends.

You will need a large van to move all this stuff.

Panels are located near Wellingborough and will need collecting from there.

99p start no reserve, no buy it now. Must be collected within 7 days of auction end. If you can't collect within that time please check BEFORE you bid. Cash on collection unless agreed with me before auction end.

COLLECTION ONLY
