I have had to buy a diesel passat to commute & my Senator must go to fund this purchase

I hope your job has some fanfuckingtastic fringe benefits to compensate for that miserable deal.

Buy now in case of last minute OMG SNOKAOS.  Looks very shiny for £600, especially with a fresh MOT:

That senator is just up the road from me. It's been on ebay a few times and never topped a grand. Looks nice though.

That Citroen SM looks like what it mostly needs is a lot of cleaning.  At £2750 lower estimate it's almost worth a punt.  I mean, it doesn't look very rusty and how complicated can they be?  ........what's that you say?  Oh.

If that SM goes through Anglia car auction I'd be surprised if it went for less than £10k ...most stuff seems to go for megabucks at ACA, more so if it looks fucked.

These are probably one of the most underrated cars of the 90's.

In about 91/2 we had a GT demo on loan and I vividly remember following my mate one night and watching the taillights steadily pulling away from me on the A5 dual carriageway through Milton Keynes, I was flat out with nothing left to give in a BMW 635. He reckons it was showing 150 on the speedo.

I've had a fair share if cars that do high teens low 20s mpg but I had an old 70s a class v8 that did low teens and the fuel consumption is a world of pain. You think you can live with it in a "fuck it I hardly use it kind if way" until you want to drive it 30 miles and it costs you 20 quid.

pal of mine bought an SM from ACA about a decade ago - MoT'd but a non runner. £2000. His tame Citroen mechanic had it running as soon as it was home.

I could be into that Nova and have it started in about 15 seconds.

Not talking from experience obviously*
