This is bloody cheap.  Sounds like a piston ring gone - perhaps unsurprising as it's asking a lot of the little 1.5 DCi to drag something this size around.  Given the text of the ad I'm not sure the seller's offer to explain further over the 'phone would be particularly enlightening though...

That laguna looks a bit doomed. By the time you bought an engine and fitted it you'd pretty much be getting at it's retail price.

These things should be the bargain of the century, let's face it they killed off Renault as a player in the fleet market, even the Laguna ll couldn't manage that and that had help from the Vel Satis.

But, the feckin things seem to be advertised for more than equivalent age/spec Mondeos, is anyone really paying strong money for them?

I've seen that Merc about, the Sierra was on eBay not so long back. I think it's the 2.3D one (they're effing horrible to drive, trust me) and he wanted £800 for it.

I hear those Laguna 3's are better screwed together (not that, that's saying much) but they're seriously fugly. No wonder Renault pulled the plug. Definitely from the Peugeot half arsed school of design.

 

I mean come on l look at the state of it, who put that swage line there??
