Very nice very early MK2 Ghia estate... but WTF is going on in the last picture? And why do people even put pictures like that in their listings anyway?

Ahh, the long forgotten hobby of fishing for coat hangers in a Ford Sierra boot with long piece of wire, how i miss those days........

/\ I thought he was searching for the location of the fuel tank by dowsing, or perhaps he knows where it is but the fuel gauge doesn't work.

Isn't this Mr Six- cylinders old one?

Yes that was mine, one of the six cars I sold last year.

It was a great car just needs a complete respray.

Dowsing a Sierra... don't say it never happened + 4* (behind the allotments!)

I think the pop/stud holding the seatback/carpet liner is goofed... and this makes it look 'factory'.

That's rather nice and I thought it looked familiar, that's very near me, still got its original Taw Garages plates on it too.  Happy to go and poke around it (without a coat hanger) if anyone's interested.

I must admit I rather like that ex-6Cyl Triumph, It looks purposeful and like the car of car you could just use without worrying about it getting damaged too much but i could see myself getting pissed off with the bodywork quickly and wanting to fix it up.

Yesterday I dove a 360 mile round trip to collect this 944, which I won in the previous auction for it. I was presented a very tired old car, poor paint repair with over-spray on seals etc. The deal breaker was the car is described as "no rot" yet the roof was rotten above the windscreen with the paint work bulging for quite a long way, I rejected the car and the seller was angry and he says he will report me.

I think that was my problem, it needed a least Ã‚£2000 spent on the bodywork. It drove so well with the best engine but I really wanted power steering that it did not have.

I won with a bid of Ã‚£1330 but was expecting a much better car than it is with just the listed faults.

Aye you're definitely at the "interesting" end of the market for 944s. I'd go square dash for that kind of budget-more basic inside but suspension and brake parts are cheaper. And the no power steering ones are among the best to drive IMO.

I'm breaking one of my own rules here (don't post anything I may be bidding on) but I fully expect this to go way beyond what I'm prepared to pay for it ...

8 seater,diesel, turbo, auto .... 268k miles though

Pug 505_Estate

That didn't take long, it's already at £1200, well past what I would have paid for it
