Clubman spec and later dash suggest it's not an 83, so that must indeed be a particularly crap vanity plate.

Probably earlier in its life its owner had a hard-to-get London parking permit and it was easier to transfer the reg over to this car than to apply for a fresh permit.  In the streets around the back of Harrods you will see loads of newish Porsches and BMWs with reg plates like C824BOU and JGB349W for that reason. And KLA is a London reg.

In the listing when I actually read it it says the plate was fitted from new at the manufacturers request.

Good news, honey!  All those school run mums with sunglasses on their head and a Chardonnay habit won't sneer at you just because they've got new Range Rover Evoques.  I've got you a 4x4 that's even better!

This Land Rover is right on-trend with off white paint.

No?  How about this, not only is it a 4x4, it's also a cabrio!

ok, I thought you may not like that one.  Remember that exotic holiday we had in India?  Didn't we have a great time?  Here's a car from exotic India too!

Alright, here's one that I know you'll love!  It's an Audi cabrio, you know, like Carmella and Penelope have?  Plus its a 4x4, I think this is just perfect for you, honey.

Honey?  What do you mean your mother was right?

An oxymoron?  A contradiction in terms?  Or just pure nonsense in the Lewis Carrol sense?  Call it what you will, but "Good taste in car stickers" is a sentence that just doesn't work.

Shame really, because if he'd stopped at the stripe that Midas could have looked pretty good

I'm not really a great fan of Sapphires so ive added a clutch pedal and changed the gearnob and a few other nuts and bolts and decided to sell it

Out of the 20 odd sierras I've owned I've only had one saph, that's the one I've got now, every other one has been a hatch, I'm yet to own a mk2 3 door though

I've seen a few cars like that over the years, where the giffer owner has had the registration of the old car transferred to the new one because either they think it wouldn't be 'their' car without that registration, or they don't like having to remember too many numbers and that one was quite easy to remember. Something along those lines I imagine.

That's an unbelievably shit advert for something with an asking price of a hundred and fifty grand.

One photo of the car taken twenty years ago and one other of a different car with the one for sale visible in the background. Half of the description is a list of other tat he's got for sale.

Verdict: SEIZE THIS MAN'S ASSETS.

Together with a stone Lion, block paving and chrome Jag accessories too; has one picture ever more perfectly captured Kentish come London knuckle-dragging delusions of grandeur than this?

At least LDV were slightly more realistic about their vans' top speed capabilities than Ford.
