760 turbodiesel!

 Presumably it has the IRS, alloy bonnet and all the other 760 shiz.

I think you have a solid rear axle until you get to 960 / S90 with the IRS on saloons only.

That other 760 I had, which was a G-reg i think, defo had the IRS. Agree with saloons only though!

Could be a rotten old thing underneath, with a shit paint job to boot. He's obviously used a French camera to take the pics. If you can speak Frog and make sure it's not rust de rust (being near Lyon it could have lived in the salt spread on the N-roads in the Alp foothills, or just basked in the Sun drinking red wine with its rich owner, gently hissing to and from his vineyards near the Saone), it's worth getting a TGV booked and ordering a few litres of Tectyl for when it's shivering its spheres off in Blighty.

From most angles it is just a hideously ugly replica.

 

But in fairness, from a couple of angles it really manages to capture the hideously ugly lines of the original.
