Can't be many of these left. This ones a bit frilly and has bits missing, plus on a trailer which does not give confidence.

Check this ugly bastard out. Not seen one of these before, it's dull as dishwater. I like it.

That looks right up your street bollox. Weigh in Rover 25 migrane edition and you'll only need 80 quid or so to be driving around in that, which will be of course 100% fault free.

It's a mystery. £16500 for a reasonably basic 1.6 new Megane too. Money well spent.

Strange, that exact car with those exact photos and the same story has been on ebay before but I'm sure it was at least a couple of years ago now.

Re the Espace

In 2008 I had a 2.2 DCi Grand Dynamique loaded with all the goodies known to man in 2005.

When it ran it was probably the best way yet devised to transport a family across a continent ( well Europe anyway) . It would sit at 90 on the Autoroute for hour after hour and had a range at these speeds of about 600 miles. You felt sorry for people in ordinary cars.

But when we came back from the Ardeche in an Avis Berlingo one year and I had to fly back a week later to give a Renault dealer €1300 for an alternator,I should have got rid when I got back. Did I ? No driving it home convinced me I'd never find a better car,so I kept it for another year through hilarious electronic handbrake escapades, random rejecting of the key card episodes and general will it,won't it? Starting issues,it finally grenades on the M25 at about 66,000 miles .

But,for some reason this piece of Gallic merde, although without doubt the most hopeless excuse for a car ever, holds fond memories and me thinking I should get one before they all go- those 350z engined ones should be more reliable ,shouldn't they?

That 2127 volvo takes me back as it's the same colour as the one my parents had when I was learning to drive. It was S reg and manual though and the steering wheel doesn't look familiar.
