That Maestro is lovely, (something I never thought I'd say).

Shame it hasn't got the voice computer, I thought that all the early MG and VDP versions got them?

Renault 4s were better. Soz.

I might have got this from the Thrills section of Melody maker or something but isn't the guy that looks like a fat Jimmy Sommervile who plays Phil Mitchell on Eastenders bang into his Renault 4's when he is not out dogging with Stan Collymore and Frank Bough?

Think it was an option on early 2.0 efi MGs then quietly dropped.

I wrote one of these off in 1989, it was double parked outside the Nat West bank by Bog Island in Lytham, I rounded the corner in a 1300 and went right up its arse end shortening it by a good two feet. The 1300 though equally FUBARed came out better off IMHO probably due to the amount of brightwork bumpers and over riders.

Pointless factoid : Ex - CAR journo Richard Bremner was on the panel that chose Nicolette Mackensie as the voice of the Maestro.

over riders.

If cars still had overriders we wouldn't need all these airbags and other safety nonsense

sold for £49200.00 ???!!!

Seems pretty unlikely! Maybe his mate was desperate to buy it.

Within the listing itself hides the true value of a city rover;

I do have for an extra £200 a  34000 mile 53 plate City Rover that is taxed and tested

That’s the second time that Tata has made silly money in the last few minutes after a week of total disinterest, I reckon someone is deliberately shafting his auction up!! Probably John Towers.

He failed to fix it with his gr8 tool kit laid out in front.

The car developed a computer fault which I haven't been able to fix and there are no dealers around here to help.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, it must be a computer problem.

Quite possibly the best car in the world

Cant argue with that.

Includes Lara Croft and Gears of War decals, because that's the way this car rolls. Two careful lady owners.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, it has no business on this forum.
