Jesus!!!! I can see why an 8-yr old might think that's cool but any actual adult driving round in that really should have their license taken away.

Let's assume you had £15,000 to spend on an old Ford.

My first car was a Mk2 and I would quite like another ,but £1000 more than a big block Galaxie, that is eligible for some of the best historic racing series. Even if it hadn't got ill-fitting rear repair arches and banded Lotus* wheels with slammed suspension . It's still a ridiculous price for an average looking 4 door GT without any history,if it had you can be sure they'd mention it.

On the subject of Cortinas...

Buy this, a tin of Isopon and a couple of metallic blue rattle cans and you can drive around pretending to be Trigger on a budget.

I'd love that Cortina, leave it exactly as it is but only do enough repair work for an MOT.

Buy this MR2 cod-piece simulator for £25k, or spend £1.99 on a beanie hat and some paper attached with the slogan '' I'm a delusional, low self esteem over compensating fuck-wit '' written upon it; or perhaps both, as they reflect well on one another.

Kit cars; why do they bother??

This is over on Facebook, It would make a great ratty daily driver, with a fresh coat of paint it would be worth a bit too.

1977 Volvo 244DL Jubilee (50th anniversary edition with special trim)

£1,300 Ã¢â‚¬â€ Clacton On Sea, Essex

Sadly its time to downsize my collection a little, hence why my 244 is now up for sale. Bought her back in September 2014 requiring a bit of work, which was all completed - lights, brakes, a little welding and a few other little bits - and passed the first MOT (October 2014) since 1992. Has covered just under 71,000 miles, which is pretty much nothing for these cars - a guy in New York is running an 1800S, which is a slightly smaller version of the 2.1 used in this, and has covered 2.7million miles. There`s a few minor rust scabs on the body, but no holes - i`ve been driving her like that with no problems.
Am open to sensible offers.
