Yeah that'll work, a load of RHD cars on frog plates bombing around Skintshire. You'd hope plod would see that a few miles off.* Were they to do it on Irish plates that might work seeing as they are at least RHD.

*In fairness Thames Valley Police let someone use a civic in Oxford on Arab plates for about 5 years.

Interesting to see he will get you a French MOT without you getting out of your armchair, I wonder how he's gonna do that?

There is (or was for a few years at least) a builder's van running around Leamington on German plates. It may have been lhd but it blatently had signwriting in English for a local firm, local phone number etc...

Crazy thing is someone will probably give him the asking price for it.

This is the Singer i saw at a boot sale as well as a show a few months ago, the chap wanted £700 for it but it was quite tatty, it got bought by someone over on Retro Rides but it's now appeared on ebay sounding a lot nicer then it really is...

as to be expected there is a bit of rust here and there but nothing major

the doors are solid as are the wings/roof/sills etc etc

Except for the hole in the middle of the roof were the CB aerial once was, it's up to £1000 already, someones going to be disappointed.

If its a little crusty on the outside you can be 100% sure its very rotten underneath.....

OH EM GEE SOGA ETC! The seller should be stoned to death for being a bit optimistic*.

Does look as if he's being a little economical with the truth in his description. Having said that though, if you're the sort of person who bids more than a grand on a 44-year-old, 184,000-mile Hillman Hunter without going to have a look at it first, you're probably the sort of person who can afford to be disappointed...

Skizzer's epic Jag thread sent me once again heading in the direction of Gumtree to see if there are any worthy S3s, and lo!.. :D

OK so it's lacking such niceties as tax and a test but would you look at the sexy beast in the background.... 8)

^ Do it! It looks a fair bit tidier than mine, assuming the inside and the underside are in similar nick.

Plus if it turns out to have no engine or something, I'll have the front wings off you for cash money

Edit: That's the only Starcraft in the world that isn't covered in moss. Phakt.

I recon you could drive away in this facelift 156 for 1000 scottish poonds. Full service history and recent cambelt change makes it seem like a right bargain. Cracking looking cars these too..

W114 200d Auto. GR8 if you enjoy being overtaken by 1970's Bedford Camper vans. 1000 seems a bit salty to me given there's no MOT and the chances are it's terminally grotted out.

"I bought and drove this Mg Metro Turbo onto my trailer a few months ago, it was purchased off a chap who had had it stored away for several years, i bought it for the engine as it's a modified 1293cc turbo engine thats covered little mileage since it was rebuilt. I wanted the engine for a Mini Project which has not yet happened!"
