Cavcraft Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1989-VOLKSWAG ... 231f9291ee 'This cars previous owner was a true VW enthusiast. He spent around £3000 on this car! Then there is the custom paint job which has to be a one off!' Some of this [completely wasted] three large appears to have been spent gluing an A4 turbo to a Polo manifold which he helpfully just lobbed in the boot.
M'coli Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I reckon this is one of the best pictures ever on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hillman-Imp-D ... 3f19ac63c2 £75, no res. It's been pointed out on the Imp Club forum that this early Imp is original enough to still have its pneumatic throttle!
michael1703 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Ford Thames 400e "POWERTRUCK" These were weird as shit and pretty impractical in their day. So you took a 400e pick up, took the engine out and dumped an Atlas Copco Diesel driven compressor on the back and also used it to propel the engineless vee hickle along by a big fat belt. Pretty pointless and if you restored one, what would you do with it well, heres one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290740978592? ... 1423.l2649
Guest Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLASSIC-MINI- ... 0739659333?THE CAR HAS BEEN IN DRY STORE FOR 14 YEARS UNTIL LAST YEAR Fuck Off! Where here was it dry you fucknuggett (pictured in 2009 by me - told it had been there for a long long time then)
willswitchengage Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Rover Montego with 2.0 turbo diesel Perkins Prima engine No MOT since 2008 but doesn't look too difficult to get back on the road
Cavcraft Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 We have a Honda Civic shaped hole here at Cavcraft and ideally want a shitty old Galaxy/Sharon/Alhembra for cycle carrying/possible towing duties. Therefore buying something along those lines would be sensible. Not this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1993-VAUXHALL ... 1e70049820 It obviously needs some mild anti-twatterage, I think he's been trying to offload it a while and there doesn't seem to be much MOT or any mention of tax. BUT...it's reasonably priced, has the badge on the bonnet and isn't far away.
Cavcraft Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Ex-Sporty Shite/Cavcraft Cavalier. The lad who's selling this is ace, when he gets a car he just goes mad and does almost everything possible to get it right. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-VAUXHALL ... 2572e538a6 Sadly some f*cker broke into it hence the different coloured door.
R9UKE Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 HELLO! 23,000 miles Award winning attempt at number plate blurring there. That Green Laguna V6 looks nice, but that's all it'll be good at. Renault didn't think about giving the manual gearbox any kind of feel... the 1.8 has a nicer shift. I hate mine that much that it's being broken, and I'll enjoy doing it...
KruJoe Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 In the market for a Griffin Coupe, are you Billy? Engine Size: 1297 cc Transmission: 2/3 SPEED AUTO Not as close as the Calibra, but it's "right up your street". http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1987-VAUXHALL ... 1048758035
worldofceri Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 HELLO!Samara I've driven past where this lives a number of times (I think). The fact that it appears to be up to it's axles in wet grass is a little deceptive, I reckon. Pretty sure it's moved around the drive quite a bit indicating it's been used more than the expired mot might suggest.

Hmm... Local (not on eBay) MOT-less Cav SRi looks nice.
michael1703 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I dont like the neighbours curtains and I dont trust the sneaky cat, but that looks surprisingly unchavved and clean

eddyramrod Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 That is pretty shitey, yes, but the badge on the boot clearly states 1.5. Now if you want real misery, go for the 1.1:As found by me here in Paphos!

If I had not bought the Audi I would be all over this as it was another of the 'cars I wanted when I was a kid that I can now buy for £500'. This Celicas, MR2s, Corrados, XJ6s and of course Audi Coupes etc. All mental cheap.
trigger Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p This for £1000 sounds like a utter bargain, 1 owner from new, 135k, long MOT & tax, you couldn't go wrong.
HillmanImp Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 That Lada is mega grim. All the shiteness of the normal Samara without the practicality or space of the hatchback. Brilliant. No wonder I don't recall ever seeing one, they probably sold in single figures over here.
michael1703 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 great title and description http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Good-runner-/ ... 27c8f4956f

You just know it was driven by a sour faced old giffer who spent his spare time writing to the local paper complaining the number 38 bus no longer stops outside Morrisons, and those kids next door are playing too loudly

I don't know why he's complaining about more students - I bet he has a couple buried under his patio. We do get some absolute crackers at work, either the old giffer letters which normally addressed to British Rail and sometimes even written on a typewriter, or the indignant mothers outraged their perfect little angel received a penalty fare for the trivial offence of breaking the law
cort16 Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 There's gazillions of E36's out there but this is a 325td with an X5 intercooler. It also looks properly tidy for £685 (given it's done 212,000 miles) and has plenty T&T.

XM Turbo teflon, no road rent but 8 months ticket. 825 D in need of some love and care. Would restore myself but currently working on my Stag! You'll need to restore yourself after tangling with a Stag...
Des Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Check this despeate old shitter. I looked at this about 3 or 4 years ago in the Hendon area, was owned by a decent sort who had saved it and unwisely spent a fair amount on what little running gear remained to get it rolling, his intention being to gather the parts to make it whole again but had lost his storage space. Only took a glance for me to see it was rotten right through, the rough alluminium shell barely holding on. He was a likeable chap and after a chat about how he was going to get shot I offered him a bonnet, (it wasn't a great one but would have been the best panel on the car) to help its chances, he didn't ever come for the bonnet, and the thing sold promptly anyway, to swiss buyers for about 1.5K, maybe its likeness to their cheese clinched it.Looks like they've come to their senses. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRISTOL-1952-401-SALOON-/330761242200?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4d02e80658
