Not eBay, but cheap Gumtree E430 V8 for £700 in London. Apparently "just needs fuel pump"

Bargain, the steering wheel alone is worth half the asking price. There isn't all that much that can go catastrophically wrong on them either aside from the bodywork. If it was an E420 I would have it immediately for it's ESP pump alone.

You always liked Trivial Pursuit so of course you want a wedge shaped car.  The TR7 is too common and a Lotus Elite too expensive to repair.

A Ginetta G26 could do it, but the Pinto engine isn’t exactly classy and a Matra’s little Talbot engine isn’t meaty enough.  The perfect answer is here, a TVR Tasmin with its 2.8 Ford V6 and the coupe shape is less midlife-crisis than the more common convertibles.

It’s a bit fucked, obviously.

Engine in pieces in the boot gets around the problem of “Can I take it for a test drive?”

Mind you - I never twigged that pillarless layout - that's actually quite sexy

Husquavarna Vitpilin 401 - Near mint condition + 12 months MOT | eBay

Never heard of a Husquavarna Vitaminpill before, but it must be the closest thing you could get to riding your washing machine on the road.

My mate has just bought one (in black), last year's model but brand spanking new 0% credit,  £3,700. He was looking at 3-4 year old models at £2.5k. It's his second one. They are nice bikes for the money and 400cc. They also do the bigger 701. Basically same as the KTM Duke but they come with a lairy orange frame and many more bright stickers.
