Fair play to the advertiser for not resorting to 'bahn-stormer' in the description

He wouldn't have been seen dead in a Bayerischer Mist Wagen.

But quite happy to challenge the suspension on one.

Maybe not IN...post-17414-0-56716700-1542977520_thumb.jpeg.

Although wheels apart, there's nothing I like about LWB V12 e32's. A 735i was like an overgrown Sportscar that happened to be almost as refined as an XJ40 . A 750iL was no quicker and handled like a W126 .

When they were first announced I hassled our transport manager to get a demo, in the end we got the press car for 2 days, I was so dissapointed I didn't even try to convince my boss, he ordered a 420 SEL ( with JM approved velour!)

He wouldn't have publicly strayed far from the usual Daimler Benz toss expected by the Reich. Probably a ghastly 560SEL. Secretly, he'd have had a Blau Weiss. He was an old Bavarian after all.

750i's are a waste of time. The engine was a low budget boat anchor built with M40 bits. The 48 valve V8 740i SWB was a proper car.

Kohl a Bavarian? He was about as Bavarian as Berlin. He was always driven in bullet proof 500SELs, first W126s, then W140s, which were assigned to the Kanzleramt.

The Bundeskanzler, like the Reichskanzler before, had and have zero influence on this. One Reichskanzler found the cars assigned to his office way too ostentatious and actually complained to the liaison office. His complaint was dismissed.

Again, I have driven the living arse crack out of that car while angry with life. I retrieved one of its wheel trims after it pinged off down the A605.

I would sincerely recommend buying something else.

OK, proper Bavaria is stretching it a bit. Point taken.

Just don't that will have the 1.4 and they are gutless. Go for a GTX or turbo if you must have one.

I guess basically the same Cléon engine as in Rob's R11?

Yeap thats the one. Anything with a TL is 1.4, TS is 1.6 and TX is 2 litre. I had examples of all of them back in the early 90's and the 1.4 was hopeless. The Turbo is fun but the 2 litre is the best all rounder.

The slower you go, the more people see you in a yellow Fuego. That is simply stunning.
