Hands up who wants a scooter that looks like it was vandalised by some stoned Oxbridge students

They all were rotten underneath the kit IIRC

Maybe you should top bid it and realise your dream again*

My 6 months with one, after I inherited some money off my nan when she died, was the most miserable dream turning into worst ever nightmare scenario.

It broke down on the way home, - the HT lead had come off the coil, and I couldn't open the bonnet

2 days later It wouldn't turn the front wheels as the power steering fluid had gone - rusty hole in the side of the reservoir.

2 days later the oil light started flashing after I changed the oil and put the correct but too thin for the amount of wear.

It FTP a week later when taking the family out. And then started again with no explanation.

The front brakes seized, electrical items stopped working, including the boot lock solenoid.

I was offer a 70K SEH from a mk3, and had to go to casualty after I cut my arm VERY badly and deeply taking it out.

I paid a garage in Runcorn to swap it over. I had weeks of poor running. and unexplained FTPs. Eventually found that the dizzy cap was different on the mk3 and the leads - especially the one to the coil were overheating.

Got it working fine, attended 2007 VBOA with mk2cav.com and three weeks later wrapped the conrods around the starter motor on the Runcorn bridge on the Friday afternoon rush hour.

Wife insisted I sold it.

I'm drawn to the Aussie Integras with a Brit badge.

Were they badged-up at the Suzuka plant, or upon arrival?   Just wondered

Please, stop reminding me that these exist!

There was a tasty Rover Quintet local to me that I always regretted not inquiring about as it disappeared off the driveway one day and never came back.

Sounds like a day with a P6 V8.

That's been on Bumtree for ages, that BRM - think it started off around £500 a coupla months back. Dunno why the bloke doesn't at least bang it in for an MoT and find out what needs doing, cos no-one will take a gamble on a potential OMFGHGF Rover with no MoT will they ? Sure he'd make more than £200 then.

Shame it's not near me.....

Something weird going on with this Jag. He has also listed this in Darlington with no mention of the LPG. The mot also runs out in a few days not in 7 months as mentioned in the ad.

I did contact him before I noticed all that to take a look but he wanted to meet in a services near Derby which made me check further.

Yeah, I've had my eye on it for a little while now. I think at one point it had this weird silver bodykit on it. Given the paint on the arches and sills I can kind of see why...

I also have no idea why they still haven't got an mot on it. It'd easily make much more than £200

I never did understand the reasoning behind a big orange gob on grandads rover , first time I saw one on the road I thought it'd been crashed and was in some sort of new primer as the rest of it looked like your bog standard shopping trolley.

Isn't that the one with the red diamond stitched leather interior?

It's a nod to the old brm f1 cars that had an orange nose.
