The black bumpers on that 600 look like they're laquered, which surely defeats the purpose of saving money?

They're actually a lot worse than that, if my (admittedly limited) experience of them is anything to go by. The one I drove was very much like a 1980s Nissan only from the 21st Century. Cheap transport, but so far off the pace it hurts.

So, in autoshite terms, fucking brilliant?

I'm finding those bumpers oddly appealing, less so the expired MOT, although the history isn't bad.

1978 LAND ROVER 101 FORWARD CONTROL

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1978-LAND-ROVER-101-FORWARD-CONTROL-/152492377438?hash=item238141055e:g:LoAAAOSww3tY3lCO

If there is a way to travel more uncomfortably, noisily and using more fuel it has yet to be found

I haven't started it for 4 months and when I have tried it turns over but wont fire up.

engine = 3.5 v8, not that much can go wrong, reckon I'd have it purring in 15 mins

Still would though, thank goodness I am a. potless and b. it is a way away

Good spot Rob, no rust issues in the MOT history suggest this is a bargain, but probably needs cambelt/water pump/lower suspension arms etc. But like the dealer plates and sticker, original radio and low miles. In summary, glad it is far away!

1992 Rover Metro 1.8 VVC Twin Cam

ooooooooooooooooooo' oh oh oh oh

s-l1600.jpg

Avon ZZR Road legal semi slick tyres all round (although close to the limit)
VVC twin cam (Previous owner told me it was the 160 engine) so it probably isnt

I did not build the car so i can only provide as much detail as i can remember from the previous keeper, thats fucking convenient

It has a few bad points, of course
the paint isnt great,
the battery warning light stays on indicating a charging issue
the rev counter doesn't appear to be wired in,
the bonnet doesn't fit that well, but what fibreglass ones do!
The immobiliser can be a bit temperamental sometimes, but you get the hang of it.
its a 1.1 on the logbook, Quelle Suprise

i have just discovered that this is a Cat C repaired vehicle. I just wanted to mention this because although not an issue, some buyers may not be  happy with the idea and some may use it as a wriggle out.

Verdict - Barry!

So I ventured a bit further afield again.

I'm not allowed to like this, remember?

But I can't help it to find this irresistible:

So yeah, if you think I need to be beaten up for it, go straight ahead.

My god this looks like one of those clay mock ups designers built when they were doing rough designs.

Now you lot have got me looking at american cars, something that I've never been remotely interested in until now.  You do get a lot of CC for your money, certainly.  And bulk.

I think I could tolerate this, for example.  Whatever it is, I've never heard of a Plymouth Satellite.

Only question is why has that car not already been loaded onto a container ship FOB Junkport? They built the Manchester Ship Canal just for this purpose, you know.   Get that Bill of Lading signed, Herr Junkenfuehrer.

At the risk of being a dissenter and despite loving the Seat-O-Matic, having seen the pics including there being nothing much remaining of the chassis where the spring hanger is supposed to be attached, I'm tempted to observe......

It's fucked.

Ami I alone in feeling a lust for one of these? Its a 900 (not a 9-3)!!!!! My memory is that SAAB brought these out to great fanfare, and they were roundly panned for being shit. SAAB had to go to town on them (rolling them in glitter etc) to sort the problems and relaunched them with a new name after only 2 years or whatever. Obv I want the earlier, more turgid effort such as the above one.

MG6 Chinese Turbo K-series!!!! Its only £125BINs. I'd love to buy this just to take it to pieces and look for differences but thats a bit of an extravagance. Check out the reinforcing 'waffle' on the side of the block! That must stiffen it up a bit mustnt it. I'd also love to fit this into a R8 (1.4 liners obvs) and see if I could tell if there was any noise difference.

I don't know about the Datsun but I'm still mourning over the loss of the moth that clearly suffered a fatal collision with the rear of that Metro.
