Well I have had this motor for a while.

I decided to keep things quiet until I knew that I was going to keep it!

 

It's something that I know very well and is HDi so cheap to run!

 

Ronnie Pickering! 2.0 HDi 90 flavour.

 

First order of the day .... Rebuild the calipers I had from one I pulled the engine to go into FH02UHZ. The 2.0 pez conversion manual I made!

 

These are the larger ESP model brakes that are 283mm diameter and 26mm thick discs.

I like to be able to stop.

 

They replaced these

 

That had to be removed like this as the calipers wouldn't push back in!

 

They now look like this!

All done by me and cost less than £130 to do the entire rebuild including discs and pads (ECP are doing 50% off brakes).

 

I'm moving onto the rear drums next as the handbrake only works properly on 1 side and it shows when braking harder than normal.

I’m with you on this. It’s not worth entertaining the crazy folks on Gumtree etc. When I’ve finished with stuff it just gets baled. Harsh but after the last time I can’t be arsed with it.

Firmly agree with all of the above. What pisses me off on gumtree is that instead of taking the 10 seconds to type out a short sentence along the lines of "would you accept £400 for the car", you just get "£400". Its just fucking lazy and impolite.

 

The one time i replied straight away to one of these accepting the offer, i never got a reply!

 

Its these kind of people that should have their access to the internet restricted or even better, prohibited!
