It looks pretty solid and grot free from my tiny smartphone. Is it?

Yes I think so, I have dug several kilos of serious rot out of the sills, floors, chassis, inner and outer wings, front panel etc. Had the engine out and back in again. It does run and drive, but needs reassembling and a paint job now.

I've been in garage last night trying to sort out why the blowers arnt working, it looks like it's the face plate that has solder issues, I'm going to try repair it today

You've got to love them don't you. We can't even get a fuseboard right so let's press on and make a touch sensitive control panel for the heater.

If you need any s/h parts, I can recommend Emiliano Digirolamo in Italy. He has a lot available at a good price and it's no problem to send them to the UK. Six-cylinder and I have had parts from him.

His website is here: https://www.biturboparts.com/

Email: [email protected]

He is on ebay also: digirolamo8702

@motorpunk - loved the article on KUW and the photos were brilliant! :-)

Mechanically ours has been pretty good, looking though the invoices it has had an electric window motor, rear brake calipers, refit exhaust down pipe and air con recharge. We have had it 5 1/2 years, bought as a running project.

Servicing I have had done mainly by my favourite local garage and the Cambelt was changed by Damax Racing in Brackley Northants.

Bodywork has been our bugbear, new metal has been let in the windscreen surround, sill/floor, rear arches, boot floor, front wings.

I am so envious of a rust free Biturbo!

Didn't know you had one of those too!

They're one of those cars I've long had a soft spot for but have never even had a close look at, might have to see if you would be willing to let me have a look at it sometime...

I've replaced the cambelt today, it's not a bad job really, but could I bloody hell as like remove the bottom pulley bolt, I removed the radiator again an easy job for better access and managed to shock it loose. Belt is replaced and built up, just got rad to fit and bleed up in morning. Beer and takeaway time now. Hopefully going to get it MOTed next week

Well done! Don't forget to make a note of it and the mileage in the service book!

It's not got one annoyingly,

That's a shame, but you can always make up a simple one in a spreadsheet & record everything in it. It always helps to have a nice structured history of the servicing and other events in a car's life, for own use as well as if you ever need to pass it on. Cambelt services are of particular importance, of course! :-)

Well I thought I'd replace all 3 fan belts as when I did cambelt they looked worn. What a pig of a job, the belt from the bottom pulley to the a/c compressor I just cut it off, I've got the belts but for the life of me I cannot get to the top bolt to release the adjuster. I've tried everything, I think I'm going to need one of those banana shaped spanners. Other than that I will have to remove the pas pump to gain access. The bloody cambelt wasn't this tricky.

Once these belts are fitted, I need to secure a steering rack gaiter, bit of a once over, then I'm going to book it in for the MOT.

What an absolute bastard of a job. Its took me 2hrs at least to loosen a/c pump bolts, you just cannot get to the 2top adjuster bolts, I've had to remove the PAS pump to gain access. I still can't get the belt on. I've gave up tonight, beer time

Just going to gollop down chicken Kiev and chips then I'm in garage trying to sort this bloody belt, it will not defeat me
