Please come and get it.  If you want to give us something for it, that is fine, but its condition means it has little value

I could A-frame it back to my garage, get it up on a ramp and get a good look at what's required to keep it on the road. Any idea where in Edinburgh it is?

Yes please.

I have both home and work phone numbers for him and can find out tomorrow or pm you the numbers?

I took this photo of it back in 2014, looked good back then.

that wasn't taken at Bo'ness railway, by any chance ? looks familiar (I park there quite often when I go for a run)

That's fantastic news!

Well that you are going to collect it, not the rust.

Well, it hasn't folded... Yet... So there is still some hope!

....Sills, lower B-pillars are seriously fucked. I'm going back to collect it shortly.

Should be ready for the Visa 50th anniversary.

When you have a car for a long time it becomes faithfully familiar.

Best analogy I can think of is having a family dog. Great fun to play with when you first have them. Middle age they become a bit more laid back and less excitable. Then as they get older they start having more and more problems. Having them put down is not simply an option as you love them so much.

You are a hero FOAD! Looking forward to seeing this in the Kingdom!

Excellent save. You weren't kidding when you said that the sills were fucked!

Don't look too bad to me,bear in mind it's a 35 year old car made out of quite thin steel with its roof cut off living in Scotland it's done very well,a big mot failure can sometimes be not much at all, just needs a sensible second opinion and it looks like it's in the right hands, well done Mr foad.
