1994 Peugeot 205 Sceptre TD - £500

Ex- Wuv, ex-Bramz turbo diesel 205

I've not had it long, but since having it I've fitted a new front wishbone (yes another) a drop link, and a CV boot. This means it clonks less going over bumps now.

If I was keeping it I would change the tyres (mis-matched budgets, all legal) and sort out the wiring for the horn and rear de-mist, but that's about it.

It's definitely a 10 footer, it looks gr9 from a distance, but less good close up.

It's basically the same as it was when Wuv had it apart from the new front suspension bits:

It still starts first time, goes well, it's just not me. With the recent purchase of the e36 my quota for red diesel cars has been filled, plus I have the Clio for the small French category.

Price £500

Location - near Bourne Lincs

MOT - June 2019

What's the score with the front end?does it still need tracking/any other bits? This would fill my diesel daily requirements nicely

Tracking might be worth doing as I didn't get that done, but it drives straight and doesn't clonk since I had the wishbone & drop-link changed.

There is a drop-link and track rod end included, these were left over as my local garage said they weren't needed.

White trims are in the boot so I didn't lose them.

Central locking works on the doors, but not the boot, I consider this a security feature.

Love it. Does fuel economy outweigh the higher cost of diesel on these?

Not that I'd consider another car so soon after purchasing one, that's not the way to do things on here is it?

Bump, still here.

At this rate I might have to put some effort in to selling it.

Chaseracer eat your heart out... more doors, less dents, and turbo, for less money.

I'm not sure I'd win on dents, check out the osr quarter and door on mine, plus 3dr can pretend to be a gti.

Probably the quickest Turbo XUD I have ever driven. Second gear is insanely tall and it just flies when the turbo wakes up, and I was doing this when the front suspension was a bit wobby..... I bet it's a good one now.

Yes, has PAS, but still nicely weighted, ie not featherlight like my Hondas.

Is there any history of a timing belt change? Not asking for or expecting to get the moon on a stick given the very fair price but collection mileage would be considerable and my luck with roulette is abysmal!

Sorry, but I have no knowledge of a timing belt change and unless you have an automatic Subaru estate (with a turbo) I'm not really interested in swaps.
