Oh, and only 67,000 miles.

That's a hell of a collection!

That reminds me of Cambridge North station. Opens at 5am, my train is at 5.30am and Costa opens at 5.30 am... AND WILL POINT BLANK REFUSE TO SERVE YOU ANY EARLIER, even though they are all set up ready to go. On that basis, I refuse to go in any Costa at all... And mayn... I buy a lot of coffee!

You know that it's a franchise.

Worth joining Twitter so that every morning for a month you can tweet "Waiting at the station. I can smell the fresh ground coffee can't wait for a lovely cup of Costa. No really I can't wait. I've asked British Rail to change the train time table so that I can get a coffee act...." #costanocoffee

Looks pretty clean and tidy? What are you planning on doing? New front numberplate and oem wheel trims?

Did the em light amount to anything on the drive back last night?

I think for £299 you did bloody well - long mot - lovely and practical.

Maybe. I might just ditch the trims and clean up the steels for now.

EML is often the EGR valve on these, did some research. Runs fine.

Yep, 67k, 11 months MOT and 299 quid is a bargain, just what I needed. Oh, and decent tyres.

CD player is crap and there is a really terrible CD stuck in though, so not all perfect.

Maintenance-wise, an oil change, brake pads and new wipers will be on the menu.

Go on, what's the CD?

It's the round shiney thing covered in digitally encoded 'music' trapped in the head unit.

Yeah, EML still on, will get it read at some point.

No idea what cd it is, will shazam it. Some sort of reggae possibly.

Tried on some trim rings I had, but they rattle, so a no-go.

Sticking with just the steels for now.

Looks big next to the Mini.

Urgh. No wonder they sold it cheap.

That cd would write off most cars.

AS answer would have been "It's the Acclaim with velour seats"

Cavaliers also acceptable.

You cant turn the EML off, you'll get rid of all its character! I thought it was the law that every early 2000's vauxhall had to have it lit, MOT failure if it's out?

Posted

It's probably on the service schedule to switch it on just incase the fault logging has failed.

It's not really a Vauxhall, GM Europe's version wasn't even made in the same factory

What engine are they fitted with? Aint a Suzuki engine is it? Is it a Vauxhall 1.6 or something from an Astra?

Posted

Rule 16. All emls are the cat past its optimum efficiency or an 02 sensor if theres no other perceivable symptoms when in use.
