Well didn't think this day would come.

Just under two months ago saw a car on another forum that looked nice, so made enquiries.

Never owned one before, but seemed in really good nick.

Due to many various delays (to the point where I did not believe I would get the car) collection is scheduled for lunchtime.

Managed to convince wife that she would take me as there is a shopping outlet village nearby, so will be calling in afterwards.

Hopefully might be able to leave her to hit shops on her own, while I have a proper look round in the car park.

Will update with pics later, but hoping the weather holds.

Thats weird.. No text.

Anyhoo pez shot as above. Actually had half a tank in it, but as its the norm.

Cars great. Though CVT Auto gearbox is a new one on me.

Only issue is I fitted the tonneau cover and covered the car in yellow dust from the lining. Thats needs to be fixed before I use it again.

Few little odds and sods to do, but overall a very happy shiiter.

That'll teach me to look on my phone without zooming.

Great to be able to have the top down early on a sharp winter morning!

Now there's a nice car. I think one of these was the first convertible car I ever rode in.

Was thinking about giving it a good scrub/clean/vac, and then spraying some contact adhesive to it.

Almost reminds me of the headlining from an old Saab 900.

get rid of the loose stuff, and then try and secure what's left.

I suppose you won't be making the cover any worse by attempting repairs to it .... Go for it.

That looks super clean, can't remember the last time I saw a floppy top R8 in the wild
