Afternoon everyone,

After some time lurking I have decided to join in on the action. I am now the proud owner of a Mk. 3 Mondeo, 1.8 LX. It set me back £750 from a dealer with a year MOT on it. The body is solid and the smoke is fairly clear. I love it to bits and I am looking forward to tinkering with it on the drive on my days off. Since I collected the Mondeo I have removed the wheel trims, cleaned the interior out and intend on fixing the rear washer over the weekend. Everything on it works, which I am pleasantly surprised with

Previously had all manner of cars, but my last one was a Hilux. I like full size American and British saloons and once I’ve got a garage built I want a Jaguar XJ in it. I’m also partial to old Volvos and Mercedes Benz

I remember my first Mk3. It was a 2001 Y reg 2.0 lx. I loved it. And the great thing about them was you could go to a breakers yard and pick up all the higher end trim panels and interior parts from better spec’d cars and make it your own. I miss that. Ended up owning a few STs. Great cars.

Welcome @Mondeo Enjoyer. My Mk3 was also a Y reg, that I got new in August 2001. A 2.0 Zetec in Amparo(?) blue and I was chuffed to bits. Only took 6 weeks for some prick to reverse a dumper truck into the front of it. The repairs done were shit and I left the company shortly afterwards and was given a Golf estate at my new job.

Hi everyone. Been a long time lurker. Love reading the threads here. I’m a degenerate 90s Ford licker. I have had Scorpio Cosworth, a 2.0 Probe with a leaking sunroof and best of all a Mondeo Ghia X V6 that had never failed an MOT in 22 years when I bought it for a grand. Here is my most recent buy. My first car was my parents’ white boggo spec Escort on a 98 R, so I’m glad I’ve found one of the same year. It’s gonna have to go though to fund a huge vet bill for my cat 🙈

I’m also a Rover 75 pervert. My urges are becoming stronger and in the absence of a “Prevent” style deradicalisation  programme, I will be giving in at some point!

Sure! It was a manual which made it fun to drive. More so than the Scorpio Cosworth, I think the auto box let that one down

Here to say hi.

have a growing fleet of shite that is currently all broken.

a Qashqai 1.5dci which has lost the ability to contain oil while driving … yet doesn’t leak while stood or idling (bloody Renault engine).

Also a 107 that is mostly stripped and really should be washed after 8 months of only cleaning the underside. Seemingly impossible to break this thing.

And a 28k miles late 2008 C1 with 3 owners that is currently having paint and other light repairs (soon to be sold).

Hey,

Currently own a 1997 MG F which used to be owned by DriveTribe/AutoAlex. This is my current daily driver

2011 Octavia VRS which I have owned for 7 years (currently very broken with a suspected HGF. Imagine that happening on the Skoda and not the MG F!) and a 2008 Berlingo van currently being used as storage

Have owned around 60 cars over the past 15 years or so. None of them amazing :D

Based in Leicester

Cheers

Hello there.

Just joined after watching Hubnut's recent YT video about his new Toyota Avensis 2.2D. The car has an "AS" sticker on the back bumper, and between that and his (positive) comments I was able to figure out the name of the website. I hadn't heard of the place before, but since I enjoy his channel and car collection, his endorsement provoked me to sign up..

I daily a 14-plate Honda Civic which currently has 196k miles on it, although that increases by about 800 miles per week. And I have a yellow mk1 MX5 'California' for sunny weekends. I would argue that neither of those are shite, although given their cosmetic condition, others might disagree.
