Going without a ticket

Recommended Posts

I know this has been mentioned a 1000 times already, but is anyone going to show this sat without a ticket and going to pay in?

Just show 'em your knob. Let me know how you get on.

Try hammering a slightly smaller telephone call to the hall over it.

I suppose the lesson here is be more organised and don't leave stuff till last minute

I'm going down sat, I'll just speak in my Barnsley accent, they probably won't be able to understand me and just wave me in

I suppose the real lesson here is to be more organised and don't let Toosavvy and Hairnet adopt you.

As I understand it from Dollywobbler, if you are a passenger in a car that has been entered already, you can get in for free. There should be a number of passenger places available in cars belonging to folk staying over at the Field of Dreams, so you would be welcome to come by and join them.

See Six-cylinder's thread and in particular from post #338 onwards.

Looks like otherwise you'd need to pay £12 for admission to the NT Gardens (which are very nice, if you do like that kind of thing):

I can't think that you'd be required to pay £6.50 to get into Stowe House unless you were actually going to do so.

Hope that helps.

Is anyone going down this Saturday and paying the 12 quid

Hang around outside the gates and if you spot any car with an Autoshite window sticker or bumper sticker, stick yr thumb out - may help if you have a witty sign to catch attention, mentioning Autoshite (eg Your Hitchiking is Our Concern would stand out)

There may be a few Shiters (myself included) who will be going straight to the FotU rather than going from the Field of Dreams. I'll be most likely in a red Streetwise reg FE04JMX and will have a passenger seat so you can get in for nowt. I'll keep me eyes out for yr sign

Stickers look like this:

Window sticker (usually on rear or side windows)

Country stickers (usually on the rear)

Red Streetwises look like this
