D Spares & Tyres Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Bub, if you are happy with that then that is great and I am happy for you but I cannot possibly press 'like' on this one ☺ Jazoli, trigger, Jerzy Woking and 5 others 8
Christine Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 One number out for a Porsche turbo owner with a KKK turbo ? And they have lots of cash....
bub2006 Posted April 15, 2018 Author Posted April 15, 2018 Well this maybe why I generally alarm the public! And at least now I'm noticeable if anyone sees me! UltraWomble, Lord Sterling, Jim Bell and 1 other 4
bub2006 Posted April 15, 2018 Author Posted April 15, 2018 True. Especially when towing. Look Mr Marsden, that was a one off and I apologised but yes a leaf spring snake bar isn't what you want flying at the windscreen of your 205! chaseracer and Tamworthbay 2
bub2006 Posted April 15, 2018 Author Posted April 15, 2018 Hooli doesn't scare easily. But probably... Yes.What are you insinuating?! chaseracer 1
drum Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 That trike is an abomination bub. Love it! I've just had a look and 1 RAT is available. Only £75k as well. purplebargeken 1
SiC Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Good job you have kids already. No seat belts and that gear knob looks in a dangerous position if you need to stop quickly. The Moog 1
adw1977 Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 I know bugger all about bikes and trikes, but really this is all that matters: I've not felt as happy as I do in a long time. As for the numberplate, if it's had that number all its life then it's part of its identity and I wouldn't change it. I would change the actual plate though - it's too new for silver on black! Dave_Q Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 I would leave the plate unless some Brexiteer comes and offers you £££ for it. If you transfer the plate off to another vehicle (£80) you get issued another age related plate for it free anyway. trigger and bub2006 2
BavarianRetro Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 ...... I've not felt as happy as I do in a long time. ....The only opinion of any consequence in the whole thread. But fuck me, that makes an Invacar restoration almost look like a worthwhile endeavour. purplebargeken, DodgeRover, The Moog and 4 others 7

brandersnatch Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 I owned this for a few years when the kids were small and wanted to come away with me. Good fun. Friendly machines, strangers would always want to chat about it. One’s too many, ten’s not enough! bub2006, Supernaut and purplebargeken 3
Guest Hooli Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Is that a V8 with drums all round? looks safe*!

Mally Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Just an observation Bub. See the bars on brandersnatch's that go out from the chassis to the back wheel. You could put something similar on yours, coming out from the tube hole in your chassis, to the outside edge of the tyre.I didn't have them on mine, but a young lady was riding it after I sold it and hit a bollard with the back wheel.Made me wonder if it would make any difference.
xtriple Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 My friend did say there's a way of swapping reg plate for free but I don't know how and I didn't ask further. I know the connations of it but it's just a reg plate to me!If you tell DVLA that you find the plate offensive or something along tose lines, they will change it free of charge! Strange, but true. What a heap, I love it!
brandersnatch Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Is that a V8 with drums all round? looks safe*!It had a Fiesta front drum and a Sierra IRS setup with a servo. Brakes worked very well. I had it for about six years, never a problem. It’s still taxed and MOT’d, I’ve seen it about recently One’s too many, ten’s not enough!
