Cheers Dan, I never even heard of that model before!, Nissan based Jap Import it would seem, This one looked a bit of a shed though.

That Mini is absolutely awful. Looks like it's got US spec bumbers on it or something. Tragic, possibly the most shite Mini I've seen.

Posted

Someone on Flickr just asked if they was Freelander lights, I don't think I've ever seen a shityier looking Mini!

Posted

There was actually a Broadspeed conversion of the Mini which employed very similar rear light clusters to those seen above, only the BS ones looked, well, you know...good.Some cracking spots there Trigger, thanks very much. I do love these 'spotted' threads.

The Infinity Q45 is basically a Nissan President. Pretty nice car but not worth a pint of cold piss these days I would think. Especially bashed up like that one. Wouldn't say no to have the V8 out of it though.

Great spots , whats that next to the Jag?

Posted

Thanks guys, The car next to the Jag is a Rover P4 looking very sorry for itself.I'll have to head back on a nicer day with a better camera to get some better photos of them i think.

I didn't want to get of the car in case i got chased off, The A50 hasn't been taxed since 1983.

Next time get out the car! The bloke who runs Essex triumph is friendly enough and doesn't mind people having a wander. I had heard he was selling up soon, I haven't been down there for a few months so don't know If this is true or not.

I used to speak to him when i still worked for Jayar, he ordered his parts from me, I can't remember his name, Kevin rings a bell, he used to have lots of dolomites outside which are not there anymore.

He does seem to have quite a fast turn around with cars, dont think he bothers with dolomites and triumph 2000s because there isnt much money in them compared to the more conventional 'classics'. He does still have loads of cheap dolomite spares which is always useful

I took some photos there a few years back

Correct!, The red Micra behind the van was a B reg as well.

Yesterday i went paintballing in deepest darkest Essex, at the end of the long muddy track to the base was this ex army truck.

This was the best photo i could take with my crappy 5mp phone at dusk, The badge read Simca-Union and then under it something else in foreign.

Anyone got any idea what it is?.

Nice one trigger, saw these on flickr. You did well! That yard is something else though, Anglia Estate for me plzzz.

Theres a 52 plate one near here, if only I could actually find where the Lada Perv lives.

Posted

I also found where the white Romanian plated Dacia 1310 (Or Dacia Denem, not sure) lives today but i couldn't get a photo of it, I will try again soon.

That Ami is beyond amazing. Although i'll always love the 6, these 8s are looking better and better (and GR9 value). Also you've actually got a chance of getting a RHD one.... Also loving the Cambridge, thats on the 'must own one day' list FO' SHO'

Excellent update, Ami + Standard will do for me... although the Austin As are nice too.

It's a Wales and Edward 'Standard' three wheeler. Mostly sold to Unigate. W+E was sold to Smiths Electric Vehicles in the late 1980's IIRC.

Good to see one Triumph Mayflower survived the 'Scrappage'. Excellent spots!

A local garage has been advertising this in my local rag now for nearly a year so i thought I'd go down and take a look.

It's a 2.0 S but it's had a bad respray just covering all the scabs and rust, It's all under the chassis as well which was quite handy as it covered the holes in the floor!, they haven't even refitted the stickers!.

According to the advert it has a MOT but hasn't been taxed since 2008, On the plus side the interior was very nice but i couldn't see the mileage very well but it looked like 48k.

As a bonus though i did find a T reg Alfasud in that rusty bronze colour laid up in a driveway close by to me so I'll be heading back down there with my proper camera soon!.

Remarkably, there appear to be a pair of the things in that photo! Crying out for some TLC and some bigger engines. S*#t, sorry, wrong forum.
