Ebay.

I've got two accounts so I'm trying to relist a few things that didn't sell, when i click relist it logs into the other account and tells me I'm not the original seller so can't relist it... faggots.

Clear your cookies so it logs you out of everything and try again, or if you have a decent web browser put it in "buying presents for the wife definitely not having a wank" mode and this will have much the same effect.

Was chatting to a work colleague the other day who mentioned his dad used to manage the transport of F1 cars and drivers from the UK to the US back when the US had a Grand Prix in upstate NY in the 60's, he described meeting many of the drivers and said what gentlemen they were.

He also shared a couple of pics, I love stuff like this:

The first was the shipping of the cars between the UK and US. This is a staged, BOAC PR photo of the cars being off-loaded at JFK. He's been able to identify some of the cars. Starting in the foreground: a Brabham (could be a BT-19); a Cooper Maserati; third inline looks like a BRM; then a Gurney Weslake Eagle (also on the forklift).

The second was his brother and Jackie Stewart at a party the evening before the Grand Prix. Allegedly Mario Andretti is sitting to off to the right and Stewart was saying to his brother “I wish they’d hurry up and take the pictureâ€Â.

I have just created the most awesome food product of all time, basically its a cheese and ham toastie, but with the ham deleted and replaced by a couple of chopped up slices of jalapeño peppers, FUGGIN ROCK ON! Just eating my third.

Try getting a cracker, and then put beans on and then grate cheese on the top and then putting in the microwave, they're waist expandingly excellent. Also put jalapenos on the top for that authentic Mexican effect.

Negative. Mature cheddar, cracked black peppercorns, pimentoes and Maldon sea salt. The righteous way. Best grilled on George's Foreskin.

Love the trailer, Cav. :D But has it got a pennant flag on a giant aerial thing like the lentil weaving folks I see around here use to transport their poor kids in?

Posted

Sure has, Pomp! Haven't worked out where to fit it yet though and planning on more cycle path than road work. Oddly enough the one part of town where pretty much all the vegetable knitting, lentil huggers live is only about 3/4 mile from me. The idea of growing my hair long, wearinkg khaki coloured canvas shorts and sandals all year round and calling kids and family 'guys' isn't my idea of growing old.

sad anti-smoking, 17 stone, hopelessly unfit bloke. Today the cycle path for a mile and a stop by the river for an ice cream.

It's the icecream that causes us all the problems Cavette, I know!

Keep it up.

I stopped for an icecream today but only walked across the road to get it :(

The last street I lived in in Hull was the inspiration for Viz's Modern Parents I think.

The street I used to live on made downtown Baghdad look like Kensington.

I had a couple of years in a place called Blacon once. Doesn't have the best reputation (to put it mildly) but it was 99% great fun living there, never a dull moment especially in one of the boozers. Mrs still has family up there and they love the place.

Anyhow making me grin today was some last minute stupid-time-to-end alloy wheels on the bay of e. Just had a cracking little road trip into N.Wales (near Ruthin) then up/down the Horshoe Pass, through Llangollen, onto the A483/A5, past the Oswestry Truck Show (sod paying £17.00 for my daughter and I to get in) and went to Ellesmere for a wlak round the lake and ome rather angry big ducks who didn't like our dog. From there it was up to Whitchurch vaguely passing (but sadly not calling into) Furgers UBER scrapyard, then down the A41 back into Chester. Only spots were two old camper vans in different places which I'll upload later.

I was grining yesterday when the delivery man turned up with my new Samba that I'd only seen in pictures. I was grining ear to ear when I saw how clean it was. And by clean I mean tidy paint, straight and lack of rust. Best Samba (of 6) by far!

Blacon is ace.. But.... The Lache in Chester is far, far, better. When I lived there, a guy decided to remove himself in a Darwinist moment by wiring his house up to a streetlamp...... Grand Prix was on aswell. Selfish cunt.

On the taxi ride home from a wedding in the early hours of this morning this subject turned to classic cars...The couple in the taxi with me own a 1965 split screen camper van and he commented on it when we got to their house.

I said that I'd quite like a Citroen CX myself and the taxi driver commented: "There was one on eBay a few weeks ago - a brown estate in the North Walsham area (Norfolk). I realised that he was talking about Wuvvum's old bus.:D

We talked about classics a bit more. He said that he once owned a Ford Granada 3.0 S. 8) I should have given him this website address.

The taxi in question was a Pug 406 that rode beautifully and had 341,000 miles.
