'The Moon and the Sledgehamer' is GR8... I saw it on TV years ago and it's stuck in mind ever since.

Full version of Aliens on TV.

How do I get out of this chicken shit outfit?

One of the greats, I was watching in on C4HD until it became to late with me having to work today

I only need to know one thing, where - they - are

My mate Bill gave me 6 litres of home-made bubblegum-flavoured cider. Immense, I'm pissing like a racehorse. Even Katie drank some, and she doesn't drink alcohol usually. I'll have to get him to make some more, as it has an interesting side effect-it seems to make Kate mega randy. :D

It's not the heat, it's the humidity.

I like this guitar :D It's impossible to play it quietly though.....

The cat is the recent baby-momma. Current running totals - cats 7, guitars 9, cars 12.

For information, the guitar last night was a 1934 National steel guitar and sounded fabulous. Full autoshite spec - it appeared to be largely held together with gaffer tape!

My daughter found a Face Ache page for my local ale house last night. Apparantly it's a 'quaint little pub'. I hope someone comes to visit it on the strength of that, they're going to find out the real meaning of disappointment

Waiting to pull out onto the high street of my town this afternoon in the SVX, a middle aged woman walking past says to her husband "What a strange looking car!". That made me smile - it's the first vehicle I've owned that's got that particular reaction from a presumably non-petrolhead member of the public...

That Subaru is as cool as can be, and fair play to you for not running several miles.

Found out that insuring my R8 Rover 200 for the first time in a year, on Fully Comp, with one claim and all of the shenanigans with car insurance going up, isn't that much dearer than before when it was TPF&T.

Just add MOT...

Watching The Proms on BBC. Quality.

Caught the end. Jerusalem, proper uplifting :D

Absolutely. This sort of stuff makes one proud to be British. My girlfriend kissed me after the end of The National Anthem. Fuck yeah!! Cut me in two and I'm red white and blue. Being British is the top win on the lottery of life.

The Last Night Of the proms should be the opening ceremony of the Olympics next year. Better than a kid miming, like in the last one...

Yet another random night in the Wirral, in glorious 28-100 vision:

WTC borrowed a trailer from my unit mates across the way (the ones I never talk about, who aren't wankers).

DSC_0044-1.jpg

MM5's Fiesta was going to it's new home nearby. He plans to get it on the road and run it daily, instead of the 309.

Strapping down.....

DSC_0088.jpg

Tangerine dreams and to do list.

DSC_0092.jpg

The same winch mount that killed Pete-M's front Serck atoned for its sins by proving useful this time around.

DSC_0095.jpg

All ready to go behind the ex-Cavcraft Escort.

Cup of tea before the off.

Between them WTC and MM5 are well versed in the moving cars \ pissing off the neighbours routine. I just stuck around and took some pictures.

Car spotting in the background of The Professionals.

Yeah, or any 60's or 70's U.K. tv program, Minder The Sweeney etc etc

M'Coli.

Thanks to his advice this morning, my Laptop is now running quite happily on Ubuntu. Had a self administered crash course in programming it to get it all working, but least it runs, and fast!

The episode of Terry and June where his new Princess gets stolen is a good car spotting episode. I only know this because it was on a couple of weeks ago..

I got a ton of sand on freegle last night, collected it this afternoon. It was in a big pile on a driveway, so I took a shovel and some bags.

Slight grump - shovelling sand into bags in an 80mph wind is not easy, or fun.....

Alice Roberts makes me grin....

Too right. She even used to drive around in a fairly shite Vee Dub camper. Would have been better if it was beige rather than bright green, but you can't have everything I guess.

Just been for a quick trip into Aberystwyth to put some posters up, do some shopping and (finally!) get the distinctly iffy pair of tyres on the back of the 2CV replaced with the ones I bought months ago. The fact that the 2CV's tyres are actually legal and that it squealed like a yank tank in a car park going around a freshly-tarmacced roundabout is grinworthy enough, but that doesn't include the beautiful A-reg Triumph Acclaim in gold that I saw twice, the Morris Minor driven by a very miserable looking bloke and the Oxford Series II parked up in town. Nor does it include the Dutch convoy of several Morgans and an E-Type V12 enjoying a rare break in the weather. Naturally, there are no pictures, but it was grin-time. Also seemed to generate a few grins from the lovely ladies who attend Aber university. Now, were they grins of happiness or sympathy? Not sure I care...
