Carter USM make me smile. Half a wake, cold and pissed off at stupid o'clock this morning. Banged the Carter CD in and before you know it I'm cranking it up full whack and singing along full tilt.

Russian TV adverts from the 1980s. They're utterly mesmerising, especially the video effects, hover chandelier, music... well, everything.

Carter USM make me smile.

They were interviewed by Lamacq just before Christmas. Only got around to seeing them once, but their continued cynicism is every bit as relevant to contemporary society as it was to that of 17 years ago. Nice choice 8)

Replaced the worn down brushes in the modern’s blower motor today. I now have the luxury of a warm cabin without having to seek out pot holes to get things moving. Considerably cheaper than replacing the whole assembly too. That's worthy of a bit of a grin when it's minus 8 again in the morning!

Nope, but it started with Emma doing Kylie's la, la, la song in that white dress thing.

Good one.. I listened to Handbuilt By Perverts over the weekend. First 2 albums are my faves.

Shit, I have or had Handbuilt, but I think I lost it somewhere. Unrelated maybe, but I should find my Jacob's Mouse cd/vinyl, they made me smile a lot years ago. No Fish Shop Parking most.

'The Only Living Boy In New Cross' is my current fave. I just need to find my 'Best of The Smiths' (Volume 1) CD now and I'll be well chuffed.Daughter has borrowed my favourite cheesy quaver CD (Ibiza Versus Love Parade) and if it's scratched I'll be a bit peed off.

I think they are cormorants in English :)

Cheers - quick wiki tells me 'the bird family Phalacrocoracidae is represented by some 40 species of cormorants and shags'. The Dutch one is the Phalacrocorax carbo (your Great Cormorant), but we don't get the European shag though...

Never! Just some innocent stuff on birds and shags...

Posted

phalacrocarax aristotelis is the common shag.

remember that for future reference.

'Hello darling, would you like to go back to my place for a phalacrocarax aristotelis?'

Wonder if that would work, sounds a bit math-nerdy.

Well with school cancelled for poglet maximus, after poglet in-the-middle had been to nursery we elected to brave the SNOW CHAOS and drive to the town of St.Evenage to watch the panto, which was jolly good fun.

I refuse to go to pantos, last time I went to one I was astounded by just how ugly the birds performing in it were. You'd swear they were blokes! Needless to say, I brought the matter up with my solicitor and I received appropriate levels of compensation.
