You know them guys who think they are amazing and better than you because they seem to have more costly posessions and in general have a shitty attitude ?

.... well i have the displeasure of knowing someone like that and it makes me happy to say ..

After a hard week, this evening will be spent drinking cider in a seafront bar. :D

I worked a long, long week at work. So much so that I'd done 37 hours by Thursday, and given that there's no budget to pay me overtime and I don't do nuffink for free, I worked two more hours to make my weekly quota up and then didn't turn in yesterday.

As such, I think it's Sunday today - this is good, as I'll have a lovely surprise tomorrow! It also meant I could pleb around in the week, go shopping for nice clothes, chill out whilst everyone was at work. Lovely.

Today though, my friend is playing a gig. It's at someone's house, which sounded suss, although there's room to camp and I'm assured it's big enough that it doesn't need directions, just turn up in the village and you'll find it. It's a ska gig, he's not played to an audience for 6 year or something, and it's going to be great to see him doing something he loves, but (quite serious) circumstances have prevented him from doing.

I'm also getting out of the rut that is a relationship, finishing. Things are looking up, I'm enjoying being me, and other people are starting to apparently see me return to 'normal'. Good times.

Good news Pillock, hopefully things will work out very well for you. Not averse to a bit of ska music myself, is he on Youtube or owt like that?

It will be shortly, I was videoing last night! Just gotta wait for someone to transfer it to the computer... was a great gig though, just a big garden party with a bar in the corner, a pizza oven and couple of hundred people.

Mates birthday yesterday. We all got cidered up and swam in the sea under the moonlight at 4am. Made me happy!

Could you post a link when done please? Cheers.

Making me grin today was getting off my fat arse and going for a walk with my daughter. Not really done that in a while and today we went down a local cycle path through the countryside and round some lanes on the way back. Must have done about 8 miles and took in a carboot sale 2/3rds of the way round where plant related tat was bought. Not much shite spotted though a very tidy and surprisingly unrusty Sierra estate was pretty cool.

I came back from Stoke today, the very very long way, just so I could be driving decent roads at 3pm. Bliss, I came up from Derby past Carsington, Ashover, and then stopped to sunbathe on top of Black Rock for a while.

Yesterday, with my Dad explaining what all the weapons are. He was born after the war. Hand grenades and the Lee Enfield .303. My father won the crossed rifles at Bisley, the first person from Northern Ireland to do so. RAF.

In 1991 I won the crossed rifles at the Challenge in my home town of Carrick.

Faugh a ballagh!

Anyway, with the football themed damage to the Merc, to cheer myself up I decided to download that cricket themed album, The Duckworth Lewis Method. Quite, quite pleasant. :)

(Oh and the Johnny Fartpants T shirt I got from ASDA yesterday is making me smile too.)

Cool.

Shame most of the lasses there are munting 10-pinters (though there are a couple I would offer a good thacking to).

I would like to see this event undertaken by bona-fide HOTTIES who would be permitted only to wear bikinis and wellies.

Yes, I know it's an ancient game, but...

Today, I discovered to my unbridled delight, that you can actually

, for REAL, in Colin McRae DIRT. With that actual car, with a bumper-mount 'camera', and everything.

Small things please small minds :D

You bitter men! They look alright to me. Most of them.

Anyway, they must be pretty autoshite-friendly if they're driving ancient tractors for 1000 miles.

Maybe they are men after all.

I dunno Milford, I reckon Alan Partridge was right about farmers. Wonder if she does have 20 foot high chickens in a shed?

Mrs RP has decided I need another project and has purchased a 64 Imp unseen and dry stored for 10 years for the princely sum of £150 , tis up to me to arrange its collection though .

Im still in utter shock as she often moans about the tat floating about here and the constant oily mess that abounds with such hobbys

Bless her :D

PS she didnt even ask what colour it was so a surprise coming then

Richard Biffa - as in Biffa Waste Services. I know this from work and regularly use it as a bit of "small talk" when chatting up beautiful girls.

Bumping into an old and good friend at the Scrap yard made me grin today.

Even had a great 30 minutes removing an entire hub assembly in a shower of oil, petrol, sparks and rain.

Although i did get abit worried when he smashed his wrist with a hammer after missing the ball joint splitter.
