Good news Peter - hope it goes well for you.

Just got a late Chrysler 180/2-Litre brochure and it's made out of weird wipe-clean plastic - useful.

I've just brought 136 Autocar magazines from 1960 - 1972 on ebay which will be interesting, sadly they are in Walton on Thames which is at least 2 hours away which is a bugger, i'll have to drive down on Saturday to collect them.It also means that i will have to sell my large collection (1983 - 2009) of CAR magazines as i'm running out of space in my workshop.

Asda own-label Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. Far better than it has any right to be at the price (£3.29 for a bottle) makes me smile, especially with a large Haddock & chips [delivered to the door] as a means of absorbing the vino.

Found out today that the last car my Dad ever owned is alive and well in the village next to mine. Now I just need to pluck up the courage to leave a note or something to ask for first refusal should it come up for sale.

Karting was brilliant, two 15 minute sessions then a 30 minute free for all. My body aches (slightly), but worth it. And the Industrial estate next to it had a pleasing amount of interesting stuff in it.Wheels day tomorrow too, ace.

I had to literally stand like a statue for about 15 mins until this little fella got close enough for a pic with my shitty camera but it makes me happy to see hares as they are cool...

Nice pics Ratdat, very appropriate for Easter.I think Hares are pretty cool too, they'd give the bastard Gypsy's dog a run for it's money.

They certainly would. Mind you my cat managed to catch one and eat it as part of his wildlife extermination program.

What makes me grin most at the moment? - passing filling stations at over the ton in the 124 on 100% free fuel, lovely simple old straight six humming away somewhere under the star with none of the 'orrible god-fearing inline four drone, no cambelt to snap, no ECUs to shit themselves, no crappy canbus wiring, no electrics anywhere to run the engine, Citroen-licenced rear suspension to smooth the ride, no designed-in faults - just slurping a gallon of veggy every quarter hour. Sometimes I only wish I could lock Gordie Broon in there with me, asking him why he sold our gold when at an all-time low, why no promised referendum on Europe, why he gave the bankers all that freedom and promised them he'd abolished recessions, why he and Bliar spent 20 times more hours debating fox hunting than Iraqi invasion - reminding him that whilst motoring at a speed which is quite illegal in a car large enough to carry 7 bent cabinet ministers, I never have to stop to buy his over-taxed fuel. Almost getting as sad as Our Great Leader, but cheap thrills, eh?
