I've never considered myself to be the best around "the ladies", mainly due to a strange sense of humour and the fact that I drive around in beige cars all day. .

Yesterday this...

...made me happy again. Got it a while back in some sort of deal or other and, it owes me naff all and despite the fact it's had a very hard life it still does a blinding job.

Like the seats in the Kia yesterday. The passenger one was actually far, far worse then the driver's one so armed with my trusty machine, hot water and some Brown Brothers supplied interior cleaner I got cracking...

Half way there now with passenger seat done...

And the end result?

Carpet came up a bit cleaner after I'd taken this picture...

Well happy with the results, also transformed my daily Astra not so long back with similar, if not better, results.

Wow, thats highly impressive. What sort of machine is it? Some sort of steam cleaner?

Karcher interior cleaner type thing. I just lob some hot water in, add cleaner and off to go. Has a spray bar thing for the water/cleaner and a very powerful vac cleaner to suck it up at the same time or L8ERZ.Stubborn stains take a while to shift but most of them go eventually and the colour of the water in the waste tank afterwards show how well it's done.Trial and error getting the right mix of water and cleaner but the Brwon Brothers stuff is bloody good to be fair. Can be used with cold water too but doubt the results would be as good to be honest.Shame I didn't do a 'before and after' on a Punto I had a while back. It was absolutely minging and looked like a collection of tramps had been living in it. Once I'd spent a couple of hours on it the seats and carpet came up like brand new.

I notice he has some bloke wanting to swap for a T5R estate. If it's a genuine T5R I'd snatch his hand off for that abortion

I'd agree with that, it makes me smile too :)

Cavette, was the previous owner of your car into dogging by any chance? That number of stains on the upholstery is very suspicious, I assume the dashboard was like a plasterer's radio as well.

A few shoe/boot marks on the dash and, rather oddly, some cup rings on the seats. Why would anyone want to kneel on the floor outside the car?:lol:

I have just finished watching an amazing french TV police drama called 'Spiral', has anyone seen this? Its bloody exhausting as there is so much suspense in it. Not much shite in it like although at one point an undercover drugs deal is done in a Suzuki Wagon R. Anyway its highly recommended, its easily as good as early episodes of 'Cracker'.

I'm a keen fan of this series. Hoping that BBC4 will bring in the third season next year. Its brilliant, like you say, very suspenseful, with great characters and well written.Trying to find Series 1 on boxed set, apparently its exists with UK subs, My french is good, but not that good..

How is this so far down the page? Up with happiness!! :)This weekend, walking the dogs in the countryside has really cheered me up. The problem is, every bugger is off at Christmas so everyone thinks it's a good idea to drag the family out for a walk. This week we're back to normal though, which means a few hundred acres to myself.I've just GoogleMapped my new route and it's 3.8 miles which isn't bad. I even went out in the crazy-ass snow yesterday and took loads of photos of twisted old trees (the route ends up at the Major Oak so it's pretty old forests), and did a bit of pedestrian off-roading to hunt out interesting things I saw in the snow.Hooray for the countryside!

Channel 4 on demand currently have every episode of Hill Street Blues available to watch online, which is brilliant because only the first 2 seasons have come out on DVD and there are no plans to release the other 5 :( I'm currently laid-up with a gammy leg and this has made my weekend! Lots of yank-shite on show too of course....

(not sure why but they've lumped the 1st 4 seasons together)

...oh yeh, I downloaded the first season of 'Spiral' as i've heard lots of good things about it, and you just reminded my it was on my 'to watch' list mr_bol

Elvis 'Aloha from Hawaii' currently on BB2, makes me smile a lot. Cool as.

Driving the Flo this afternoon made me smile - it started very nicely once I had pried the frozen bonnet open (slight grump, it opens the other way and there was a lot of ice on it so I had trouble opening it) and opened the choke with a small twig (cable's broken). Nice drive and some doriftu action on the parking lot at 15 kph - turn the squeaky wheel, open the throttle just a bit and hey presto, sideways we go... just not an easy car on really slippery days I guess.

Yeah, its Ok isnt it. I should really be in bed though. What cheered me up recently is fixing the Audis heater matrix and enjoying HEAT while motoring for the first time in about 6 months. No more ice scraping the inside of the windows!I say fix... I found out it wasnt actually leaking in the first place. The water inside the cabin was coming from a ropey door seal.Oh well... I do enjoy being warm!

Just went in the kitchen to make a brew and caught my missus microwaving Bagpuss.....

Bagpuss does look rather glum in there , poor thing

Yeah..... hot waterbottle, just caught me by surprise as I did'nt know she had such a thing.....

The main thing I never understood is how this Emily lass could sustain this "Bagpuss and Co" shop - the entire business plan revolves around bringing things to Bagpuss for him to look at, but never to sell anything. Especially considering all the stuff they'd have to shell out for - rent, rates, electric, etc.The only thing I can really think of is that Emily is affiliated with the mob and it's just a way of cleaning up dirty money. Perhaps there's a later episode I missed where she torches the shop, then leads Bagpuss into an empty room to blow him away.
