Guest Conan Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Could this be the nicest Ford Ka still in existence?
LightBulbFun Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 5:33 (also man if all that was wrong was that stop switch I feel bad for the last owner)
Sudsprint Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 IIRC Alan Partridge judged 'best in show' before the rain set in about 2.00pm..
Tetleysmooth Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Please tell me where this is. Paul Dupart and Sudsprint 2
egg Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Fascinating stuff - never heard of the Metz before, very early CVT. LightBulbFun 1
gadgetgricey Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Not car related, but never going to be able to listen to this again without the amended lyrics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsgWUq0fdKk Remspoor 1

egg Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Doug does Jay Leno's F1, but Jay doesn't let him drive it...
LightBulbFun Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I so want to see Jay/Doug/RCR review an Invacar (and a trabant, and a Lada, and a Routemaster bus and a load of other british chod LOL) (preferably with me on site so I can make sure they get all the facts right LOL) egg 1
egg Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Doug specifically did a video on why it's not worth his while to travel to Europe to review cars - so it would have to be ones already 'over there' LightBulbFun 1
LightBulbFun Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Doug does Jay Leno's F1, but Jay doesn't let him drive it... Just watched the video through and id be lying if I said I was not making invacar comparisons throughout LOL front hatch that is only for mechanical bits and not for storage? check rear/mid engined? check adjusted to the specific users needs? check Center driving position for optimal weight distribution and driving position? check (and you can squeeze 2 people either side the driver in a Model 70 if you really wanted too LOL) and in the case of the Mk12, there are substantially fewer known surviving Mk12s then there are F1s and Model 70 can probably go faster* then a F1 anyway *in reverse Remspoor and egg 2
Dirk Diggler Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 What a brilliantly filmed advert richardthestag 1
LightBulbFun Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Ageing wheels just got a school bus spoilers ahead: while im quite excited about it all, I am a bit sad he is going to be chopping it up especially as it looks like got a really decent bus for $3.5K
ProgRocker Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Astra/Kadett based Pontiac Le Mans on MotorWeek: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b27IUcEUBoY This apparently replaced the Chevette based Pontiac 1000 in the US. Subaru XD & sedan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqKKI8xz4Aw

shoddybanger Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osVMHq3OhQI Some Finnish car ads from the 60´s and 70's. Brands covered include Volga, Skoda (rally action!), Audi (shady bloke feeling cold and uncomfortable), Moskvitsh, Peugeot, Wartburg, Neckar, P70 Zwickau (they drive over one of the plastic doors to highlight its flexibility) and Saab (with emphasis on windscreen wipers and lamp washers in dreary conditions). martc and Sudsprint 2
FakeConcern Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Not sure if this has been posted already and I'm not really a Vauxhall fan, but....
egg Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 More Smith and Sniff piffle, but they do lazy spot a December 93 registered Sierra, so that's ok. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3csgreO40Q
cort16 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Genuine LOLz at the fuel removal system. Go to 3.23 or follow this link https://youtu.be/ZsjWak7I8Zo?t=203 Also in a couple of these old scrapper videos I've noticed they set the cars on fire. Any idea why?
LightBulbFun Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 IIRC they set fire to them as a quick n easy way to remove any non metals from the car (Back then if it was not made of metal, then it was probably made of something flammable like cloth or wood id think) cort16 and vonmon 2
cort16 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Here’s another one . Old Jag, remove some interior bits, lights and alternator , torch it and then gas axe.I also enjoyed the guy gas axing the rear of it had a tie on.
michael t Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Fascinating segment from the RTE Archives on the 1984 Irish motor show in Dublin https://www.rte.ie/archives/2019/0219/1031481-dublin-motor-show-preview/
