January Cannock Calamity Roffle - BIG* SHITE REVEAL 2DAY!!

Recommended Posts

After the initial Cannock Xmas Roffle failed to buy a Pug 406 after being outbid by a ghost..

I said

I think I'll round it up to £180, and donate £90 to Charity, with the remaining £90 carried forward into an end Jan Roffle pot.

Set at £5 per ticket, we'd have £385 to play with (£90 rollover, £295 from 2nd roffle).

The donation has been made so it's time to open up the roffle for entry:)

Intention is for the car to be bought on Sat 27th Jan at Cannock Auctions. The winner will receive the keys in the post, and a postcode of where the vehicle is located. Unless they attend the event:)

Please read the below rules and ensure you are happy before buying tickets.

Tickets are £5 each. The total budget will be £385 (£90 roll over and £295 from this roffle)

I also think we should have some clear rules:

1. We accept no responsibility for the car/condition etc

2. The winner can have the car re-entered if they are unable to collect

3. The car belongs to the winner and they can do whatever they like with it

4. No nominating for tickets- buy your own only

5. Any proceeds left will be split 50/50 to winners charity choice and roll over to next raffle.

6. Remember this is just a laugh.

Step right up!

After this weekend's double roffle fail, I decided to cut down on my habit in the future.

With this in mind, I'll have 8 & 13 please!

Q: - how do you usually pay for these tickets? I avoid paypal like the plague!

*this may have no bearing on the fact I'll enter - buy 2 tickets and then have a european going home road trip to deal with probably*

its usually via Paypal - avoids any bank details etc being required. when you pay you can send as a gift -so no charges

With a request that the car purchased is not an absolute festering pile of wank, I shall have one ticket for the moment.  Might have more later when I've had a couple of brave pills.

I can see myself ending up with a rotten 1993 Rover 100 with 3 days MOT.

You obviously know the stock type then;)

We'll be aiming to get something with MOT on it, and with decent tyres.

You get # 42

I have never* known anyone on here buy an absolute festering pile of wank, I also imagine that this bit of good natured banter won't continue very long if the cars repeatedly fail to make it home or blow up. So in the good natured spirit which I expect from you bunch of nutters on here, I'll have a single random ticket please.

I've clearly not told enough stories about cars I have bought in the past then.  Not bought from anyone on here, just random purchases.. you know.. ones I had every opportunity to walk away from.

I'm not in a position to enter a raffle at the moment (all shall be revealed later in the week), but this particular quote tickled me:

The winner will receive the keys in the post, and a postcode of where the vehicle is located.

Good luck to whoever wins this!
