I'm bored with upsetting Rover 75 owners now so it seems my new hobby is upsetting mental Saabists.

What is it that attracts me to these types of cars again? 🤣

I have some very bad news for you. Any  Facebook or Instagram group for any marque will be stuffed with people like that.

I have even worse news. Any large grouping of people will have many people like that in it, whether net based or not.

Unfortunately this is only too true...

Single make or single model groups are often Quite Odd.

Local car night tonight… I took both my girls so photographing was limited. I focused on my two favourite cars there…

Jamaica yellow SR FTW! Identical to my old one save for mine being an early one on a B.

That SR is fantastic! Mine was a C Reg, and brown (hence the username) but otherwise it’s identical!

Oil change again for the red Saab 93 last night, I can't believe I've had it 6 months now. Its a great car and insanely quick with the remap and the auto gearbox.

The oil change itself was straightforward,  but I forgot that the engine takes 6 litres so the basin was very full.  I turned it into a right skiddle. I need to invest in one of those big waste oil pans with a spout!

Yeah, colour doesn’t show brilliantly on these shots but it was brown with grey bumpers. According to the Nova club a very rare colour for an SR!

That's why I was asking. I don't think I ever remember seeing an SR in that colour! Gorgeous on the Mk1 Astra GTE alloys too.

Memories of Uncle Jack trying to tow our coke bottle Mk3 up a long hill near Devizes before the clutch gave up the ghost.......

Got any more shots of the Hunter/Rapier in the back there? We were in the coke bottle Cortina as local scrotes had torched the garages with our Hillman Hunter in it,

The last oil change I did My led spotlight fell in it . It’s never been the same.

I've been using the Pela but the lance is stopped by some kind of baffle on the 9-3 sumps so won't work. It's fine on the Cavalier but the oil filter is right behind the drivers side wheel so the car needs to go up in the air anyway. The actual oil change on the Saab was really easy but I slopped the oil all over the drive 🤣

How easy are those to fit? Would be quite nice in the Fabia if I canny get another Sony... or win the roffle.

Remarkably easy! Just needs a little canbus adapter that I can send the link for. No wiring necessary, just plugs

And they sell a version with green buttons for Skodas too!

Excellent. Don't think I'd need a canbus adapter because Mk1 Fabia. Sounds cool tho! :)

thought it'd be the same as the 9N Polo which needed it!

But a lot of sellers will bundle the adapter so one can always try

The radio model is RCN210 btw

There was one last week were someone was looking for a loan of  an exhaust to pass emmisions 😂 had a scroll back to find it but must have been deleted. Some right bottom feeders dwelling on that page

Have arranged to hire a car while here in Turkey, just to explore for a day or two. My initial attempt to get a Dacia Lodgy for the 6 of us via the company our hotel plugged failed but I've instead been offered an older Hyundai Starex (which as far as I can tell is a rebadged Mitsi Delica) instead. 20 quid extra for the two days would've got me a Transit minibus, but where's the fun in renting something I could've driven at home?

Intrigued to see what shows up tomorrow.

Three years ago today I was doing stupid things with an HDI and my 205.

If dad hadn't gone and died I'd probably have eventually managed to get it running. I'd like to revisit it at some point to be honest.

I saw a photo recently of us all at Shitefest 2014, standing around the two-stroke Fiesta and did feel quite the pang of sadness at the sight of your old man. Hope you do manage to revisit that project. The result would be awesome.

Old boy at work asked me if I could help him replace this panel on his sovereign... he reckons its bolt on job.. but I reckon its a bigger job than he thinks .. like welding.. cutting.. etc

He nor I have access to a ramp or lift.

Anyone done one before?

Looking at the replacement panel it is probably a cut and weld job, but I could be wrong
