320touring Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 ** NOW Roffling**Hello,Time to put this one up for sale.150k milesGood PointsMOT FEB 18Excellent engine and gearbox (switchable auto)Fitted with sports leather interior in decent conditionWorking Cruise controlArm rest16" sports wheels x5Bodywork in decent conditionRecently serviced (Sept 17)Can come with some sparesGets 36mpg on a run at 70, and has been doing 31-32mpg on my commute (a mix of motorway and gridlocked town driving)The m50b20 pulls well, and the gearbox shifts cleanly, with double kickdown working faultlesslyIssuesDrivers window doesn't work (suspect motor)Bonnet difficult to openTyres needed soonRear arches have surface rust as per picsBodywork has occasional dings and dents/scrapesOverall it's a fairly clean, solid E36 that hasn't been #driftyo'd. Sports leather, Cruise and an armrest mean it's a lovely mile muncher, with a pleasant 6pot soundtrack.I'm after £500 ono, and would consider part ex/swap for something interesting or frugal:) The Moog, dome, Shep Shepherd and 5 others 8

dollywobbler Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Ah man. Will you stop with the 'selling stuff I'd like to own' thing please? I think two cars from you (indirectly) in a year is enough. 320touring and Cavcraft 2

HMC Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 That's lovely! Although I was reducing numbers with the merc sale, a swappage for this would have been very tempting my end!
320touring Posted October 22, 2017 Author Posted October 22, 2017 That's lovely! Although I was reducing numbers with the merc sale, a swappage for this would have been very tempting my end!I did try to buy the merc:)
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 A week too late. If only................
The Moog Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 It is a lovely car and made me think twice about beemers. 320touring 1
Split_Pin Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 If I could source a good home for the Megane I would buy this fo' sho'.
320touring Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 What the location of this out of interest? It is currently located near Glasgow, but I have the means to get it as far as Leeds if needed:) Cavcraft 1
Insideimsmiling Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 WANT - but cannot afford and do not need. However the E36 coupe is in my view one of the most attractive Beemers made. The Reverend Bluejeans 1
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 I've just moved one on. Couldn't resist a completely rust free and original 323i Auto Coupe for a couple of hundred quid last weekend but with a misfire. Thought back to my 'I can't be arsed with this anymore' feelings a month ago, took the engine and box out and sold the rolling shell for £450 to a lad who's rebuilding a fucked rotten 328i Sport with it. Engine stripped (damaged piston) and all the bits on Evilbay as well as the box. It had only done 90'000 and the underside was like a three year old, not seen one like this for yonks. They were a great car and so much better than what came after. But they're still firmly in the council modded slammed drift stance yo phase and hundreds are being ruined every year. A really lovely 316i Coupe in white and with 80k and zero rust is being stripped and built into a drift car this month. They're already a rare sight in breakers now whilst there seems to be a factory somewhere pumping out thousands of fucked rusty generally rubbish E46's every week to keep scrapyards and Ebay topped up with the hateful things.
BavarianRetro Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 It's true. E36s are virtually non existent. Up here the drifters smashed them all into the wall at Driftland. The Reverend Bluejeans 1
320touring Posted November 6, 2017 Author Posted November 6, 2017 No one interested in this? Nowt but scumtree messers so far outside this site:(
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Welcome to the world of selling E36’s. Good luck with a 320i Auto.
chaseracer Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 SWOP 4 KEN'S TRUMP 1300? The Reverend Bluejeans 1
sierraman Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Nice car that is, at least being the auto it will have escaped the drifting boy racer crowd. Like you say it would make a great cruiser.
Dave_Q Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Have you tried Autotrader? Free for cars under £a bag, had success there with my Vespa and a man is coming tonight to (hopefully/probably) buy my Alfa...
warren t claim Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 How do you open and close the drivers door if the window doesn't work?
320touring Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 How do you open and close the drivers door if the window doesn't work?By unlocking it and using the handle- it just doesn't drop a small amount. It causes no problem to access:) The Reverend Bluejeans 1
warren t claim Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 By unlocking it and using the handle- it just doesn't drop a small amount. It causes no problem to access:)Does it still seal OK?
320touring Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 Does it still seal OK?Seems to. Certainly watertight, get a bit of wind noise above 70 - sorting the motor would solve the lack of drop. warren t claim 1
