brownnova Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 An absolutely cracking looking car! I too have fond memories of the gumdrop series of books, so this is a very nostalgic thing! lesapandre and Matty 2
Pieman Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 What a truly beautiful car, I am very impressed and very jealous. Gumdrop was the first thing I thought of too, I loved those books when I was a kid. I didn't know until much later in life, however, that Gumdrop was actually a real car owned by the author of the books, Val Biro. He is a 1926 model, and I think still exists today. Looking forward to following the adventures of your own Austin 12! bigstraight6, HMC, lesapandre and 2 others 5
