That temperature gauge is hilarious.

Cold - nooormaaaal don't worry about it - FUCKED :D

Also, is this generation of Fiesta a CVT box instead of a conventional auto?

Grim!! That's done well to last this long with the CTX box, but plausible if the 493 miles on the clock is genuine :)

Like this! Early one on an N-plate, and also with the keep-fit windows. I think the LX got them as standard in mid-1996.

Better than the old french method of just having a big red "your engine is fucked" light.

even has lower interior light when you switch the lights on,lights the drivers footwell.,seems for the auto only, L on box no idea as yet, waiting for ramp to come free so i can get it up,see what welding i need to do,mot still has few months left..not opened the bonnet yet..has a sunroof and aircon, odd, 3 previous owners...funny looking black box on pass side could be alarm or...damage to drivers door someone trying to steal it in the past...

'L' is for 'Low' surely? To give the same effect as locking a conventional auto in 2nd or something.

Northern Powerhouse members may recall me borrowing one a few months back.

I thought all 1.25 autos were CVT.

both sides of the inner sills were rotten plated both sides, slapped on some seam sealer, than sprayed on some silver hook black underseal, various other places awell,ie fuel tank  etc, changed pollen filter it was minging, topped up anti-freeze with silver hook stuff red, topped up screen wash, right re autotransmission,it is not the cvt, seems to be full auto, non rubber belt version.. :-D :-D :-D

Steel belted on these? I don't think they ever put a conventional auto in any pre 2000 Fiesta (Unless someone's managed to bosh in a 3 speed ATX from a mk3 Escort somehow)
